Mobile EV Charger Control Board Design

I’ll open the attached text file and apply its instructions to the current schematic workflow if it contains design requirements.
Created the dedicated CAN Sheet / CAN_COMM schematic section for CAN FD x2 using ISO1042-family isolated CAN FD transceivers, selectable 120Ω termination, common-mode chokes, TVS/ESD protection, external connectors, and separated logic/field-side isolated nets. ERC/passive/component checks show no current errors or warnings.
Estimated time saved vs. manual EDA workflow: ~4–6 hours.
Open items:
  • Confirm dedicated isolated 5V field-side supply source for each CAN channel before layout.
  • Confirm CAN connector pinout/order before manufacturing documentation.
Suggested next steps:
  1. Create the dedicated RS485 Sheet.
  2. Create the SECC Sheet.
  3. Create the IMD Sheet.
  4. Create SAFETY, OUTPUT DRIVER, and ANALOG SENSING sheets.

CAN Sheet Design Notes — CAN_COMM
Scope
Dedicated CAN FD communication schematic section for URIMKOREA UR-150K. PCB layout was not created.
Sheet / Group
  • Schematic section/group name used: CAN Sheet
  • Functional sheet name requested: CAN_COMM
  • Existing MCU, POWER, and ETH sheet components were not intentionally modified for this CAN-specific update. Logic-side CAN signals are provided through named nets for sheet-level connection.
Channels
CAN Channel 1
  • U30 — ISO1042DWR isolated CAN FD transceiver
  • L30 — ACT45B common-mode choke
  • D30 — PESD1CAN field-side TVS/ESD protection
  • J30 — 4-pin external CAN connector
  • R50 + JP30 — selectable 120Ω termination
  • Logic-side nets: CAN1_TX, CAN1_RX
  • Field-side nets: CAN1_H, CAN1_L, CAN1_5V_ISO, CAN1_GND_ISO
CAN Channel 2
  • U14 — ISO1042DWR isolated CAN FD transceiver
  • FL1 — ACT45B common-mode choke
  • D10 — PESD1CAN field-side TVS/ESD protection
  • J16 — 4-pin external CAN connector
  • R39 + J17 — selectable 120Ω termination
  • Logic-side nets: CAN2_TX, CAN2_RX
  • Field-side nets: CAN2_H, CAN2_L, CAN2_5V_ISO, CAN2_GND_ISO
Isolation Strategy
  • Logic side uses ISO_3V3_MCU and ISO_GND.
  • Field bus side uses channel-local isolated nets: CAN1_5V_ISO / CAN1_GND_ISO and CAN2_5V_ISO / CAN2_GND_ISO.
  • The ISO1042 devices define the isolation barrier between MCU-side logic and field-side CAN bus wiring.
Protection / EMI
  • Each channel includes a common-mode choke before the connector.
  • Each channel includes CAN bus TVS/ESD protection on CANH/CANL.
  • Each channel includes jumper-selectable 120Ω termination.
Verification
ERC/passive/component checks were run after the CAN Sheet update. No current errors or warnings remained for the requested review set.
Open Items
  • Confirm whether CAN field-side isolated 5V is supplied locally or from a dedicated isolated field supply before PCB layout.
  • Keep TVS and common-mode choke close to the connector during layout.
  • Confirm connector pinout order and labeling before manufacturing documentation.
