- Pick and add other active components (NTC temperature sensor, TVS diodes, interlock switch)
- Review power subsystem for additional active parts
- Add supporting passives:
- Decoupling capacitors
- Sense resistor
- Pull-up/pull-down resistors
- ESD protection diodes
- RC network for soft-start/current limit
- NTC for temperature compensation
- Add connectors for VIN, GND, MOD, EN
- Connect all nets and review schematic
- Prepare and configure PCB layout (stackup, footprints, placement, routing)
- Perform ERC/DRC and manufacturability reviews
- Define calibration procedures for 1 mW at 25 °C and over temperature
Success criteria status
- Low-noise constant-current driver with analog modulation, hard interlock, soft-start: not yet implemented
- PCB layout ensuring noise minimization, thermal compensation, robust ESD: pending
- Calibration procedure defined: pending
