  • Updated project description to include HDMI interface goals (#HDMI #HighSpeed #Video).
  • Updated System Architecture property with the HDMI block diagram.
  • Added HDMI Type-A receptacle (1747981-1) as J4.
  • Added ESD protection array (TPD12S520DBT) as U2.
  • Added DDC pull-ups (R1, R2).
  • Added HPD pull-down (R3).
  • Added test-pads for TMDS pairs (P3–P8) and control signals (P9–P14) using P3 components.
  • Connected HDMI pins to ESD, resistors, and test-pads, creating labeled nets for TMDS0±, TMDS1±, TMDS2±, DDC_SDA, DDC_SCL, HPD, CEC, +5V, and GND.
  • Added PCB properties to J4: Placement = “Board Edge”; ClearanceKeepout = 2 mm.
Tasks not done
  • Defining TMDS nets as differential pairs with a 100 Ω differential impedance target (requires manual net property assignment).
Success criteria review
  • ✅ HDMI connector and support components present in schematic.
  • ✅ HDMI nets labeled and exposed to test pads.
  • ✅ PCB placement and clearance properties assigned to HDMI connector.
  • ⚠️ High-speed differential-pair net properties still need to be defined.
Recommended next step Define the TMDS differential-pair net impedance properties (100 Ω) using the net properties editor so the design is fully ready for high-speed routing.
