GPS u-blox Antenna Matching

I can’t modify the project right now because execution credits are unavailable, and your current access is view-only.
Current project state:
  • Project: W3011
  • Description indicates a 1.575 GHz GPS chip RF antenna, 3 pads.
  • No matching network has been added in this session.
What remains to do for a proper u-blox GPS antenna match:
  1. Identify the exact u-blox GNSS module and antenna part number.
  2. Check the module RF input requirements and antenna datasheet.
  3. Add a standard π matching network at the RF feed:
    • Series component footprint between module RF output/input and antenna feed.
    • Two shunt component footprints to ground, one on each side of the series element.
    • Typically populated initially as:
      • Series: 0 Ω resistor or placeholder inductor footprint.
      • Shunts: DNP capacitors.
  4. Add controlled-impedance 50 Ω RF routing from u-blox RF pin to the matching network and antenna.
  5. Place the matching network as close as possible to the antenna feed.
  6. Use a solid RF ground, via stitching around the feed, and keep copper/ground clearances per the antenna datasheet.
  7. Final component values must be tuned with a VNA on the assembled PCB.
If you regain edit access/credits, I can add the π matching network and RF layout constraints directly.
