PCB Design for Voltage Regulation

  • Set Input Voltage to "3V"
  • Set Output 1 to "5V, 30mA current limited"
  • Set Output 2 to "12V, 30mA current limited"
  • Set Board Size to "50mm x 50mm"
  • Set Layout's sizeX to "50mm"
  • Set Layout's sizeY to "50mm"
  • Set Layout's boardShape to "rectangle"
  • Set Layout's cornerRadius to "2mm"
  • Set Layout's stackup to "Standard 4 Layer"
  • Set Layout's boardInsetMargin to "0.2mm"
  • Set Layout's keepOut to "0.2mm"
I chose a 4-layer layout as the safer default for this power board: top and bottom for routing, one solid ground plane, and one internal power layer. That gives cleaner return paths and better noise control around the two switching regulators.

50 mm x 50 mm power-conversion board with a 3 V input and two separate regulated outputs: 5 V and 12 V. Each output is limited to 30 mA and includes the required boost-converter support components, decoupling, filtering, and output current-limiting stages. The design target includes schematic completion plus PCB/layout feasibility and manufacturability review.
