Using Flux to design electronic circuit schematics and PCB layouts involves several steps:
  1. Sign Up and Log in: First, create a Flux account or log in if you already have one. You may use one of the free plans to get started.
  2. Begin a New Project: Once logged in, start a new project from your dashboard. In your new project, you will find a workspace where you can design your circuits.
  3. Drag and Drop Components: Flux provides a library from which you can drag and drop components onto the canvas in schematic mode. Use the search function to locate these components.
  4. Connection and Routing: After positioning your components, you can draw connections between different components to route the electrical signals. Be sure to use correct pins for your connections to ensure a proper connection.
  5. Validation and Simulation: Once your schematic is ready, use Flux's features to validate your design. You can also simulate your PCB circuit to foresee how it behaves in operation.
  6. PCB Layout: After validation and simulation of the schematic, you can then proceed to layout mode where you can design the actual PCB based on your schematic.
  7. Export and Manufacture: After finishing the PCB layout, you can export Gerber files that can be used for manufacturing the PCB.
Beyond these steps, there are various advanced actions (like copy-pasting elements, importing symbols, etc.) you can perform as you explore Flux more.
