I can help design the 8051 + 4x4 keypad circuit, but I can’t execute changes in the project right now because AI execution features are unavailable due to no available ACUs.
Current project state:
New empty Flux project created.
No components or nets have been added yet.
What remains to be done:
Select an 8051 MCU variant, preferably a common AT89S52/AT89C51-style part.
Add a 4x4 keypad matrix with 8 signal lines: 4 rows + 4 columns.
Connect keypad rows/columns to an 8051 GPIO port, commonly Port 1 or Port 2.
Add reset circuit, crystal oscillator, decoupling capacitors, and 5 V power connections for the 8051.
Optionally add pull-up resistors if using ports or keypad wiring that need defined idle states.
Create firmware notes for keypad scanning and debounce.
Suggested default wiring:
Keypad rows: P1.0–P1.3
Keypad columns: P1.4–P1.7
MCU supply: VCC = 5 V, GND common
Crystal: 11.0592 MHz or 12 MHz with two load capacitors
Reset: RC reset plus pushbutton on RST
Once ACUs are available, I can add and wire the MCU, keypad, clock, reset, and support components directly in the schematic.
