PCB Layout Assistance

To activate the Auto Layout feature in Flux, follow these steps:
  1. Ensure your schematic is finalized and your components are placed appropriately.
  2. Verify any board constraints (dimensions, orientations, keep-out zones, etc.) are set.
  3. Confirm that you have sufficient Copilot credits available, as the Auto Layout feature consumes credits based on complexity.
  4. In the PCB tab, scroll to the bottom and click the Auto Layout (or auto-route) button.
  5. Review the iterative layout preview that appears. Drag the scrubber to compare iterations, and when you find a satisfactory layout, click the apply (check) button to set that iteration as your board’s layout.
For a detailed walk-through, please refer to the Flux Documentation on Auto Layout.
Let me know if you need further assistance with the process!
I have confirmed the board constraints and available credits. Please initiate the Auto Layout process for my PCB.
I can guide you through the process, but initiating Auto Layout must be done through the Flux PCB editor.
  1. Go to your PCB tab.
  2. Scroll down to locate the Auto Layout button.
  3. Click the Auto Layout button to start the process.
After starting, you'll see an iterative layout preview. Once you find a layout that meets your needs, you can apply it. Let me know if you need any additional tips during this process!
