I completed the schematic and compact PCB placement for the ESP32-C6 Midea HVAC USB dongle. The project is now renamed, uses a 25 mm × 70 mm 4-layer dongle outline, has USB-A on one end, USB-C on the other, ESP32-C6 edge antenna placement, TXS0108E 5V UART level shifting, TLV758 3.3V regulation, WS2812B LED, boot/reset controls, and full decoupling; schematic ERC was clean before layout.
Estimated time saved vs. manual EDA workflow: ~8–12 hours.
Open items:
Routing is not complete because the account currently has no available ACUs, so AI routing/checking features are unavailable.
Manufacturing docs, firmware starter, bring-up plan, and final JLCPCB export still need to be generated.
The USB-A D+/D− pins are currently used as the Midea UART 5V lines; this should be checked against the exact original dongle pinout before ordering.
Suggested next steps:
Add ACUs, then ask me to route the PCB and run final DRC/airwire checks.
Ask me to verify the Midea USB-A pinout against the GitHub project before routing.
Ask me to generate firmware starter and board bring-up files.
Ask me to prepare JLCPCB assembly-ready BOM/placement/export files after routing.
Documents are markdown text files which describe project goals, capture details, or even simulation outputs.
