Temperature and Humidity Sensor Design

I’m blocked because the project execution credits are exhausted, so I can’t add components, wire the schematic, consult datasheets, or run validation in Flux right now.
Current project state:
  • Empty project
  • 0 components
  • 0 nets
  • No schematic or layout work has been applied yet
Recommended design direction once credits are available:
  • MCU/radio: ESP32-C6 or ESP32-S3 class module for 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n + BLE 5.x
  • Sensor: digital temperature/humidity sensor over I²C, e.g. Sensirion SHT4x/SHTC3-class device
  • Power input: USB-C receptacle configured for 5 V default sink using CC pull-down resistors
  • Protection chain:
    • USB-C VBUS ESD/TVS protection
    • Reverse-current / ideal-diode or protected load switch
    • Overvoltage protection
    • Undervoltage lockout
    • Overcurrent protection sized for 0.5–3 A USB-C sources
  • Regulation:
    • 5 V USB-C input to 3.3 V low-IQ regulator sized for Wi-Fi peak current
    • Local decoupling at MCU, sensor, and protection/regulator ICs
  • Consumer-use considerations:
    • USB-C ESD protection
    • RF antenna keepout
    • Low-power sleep support
    • Proper enclosure-accessible USB-C placement
    • Clean power path and current limiting
What remains to be done:
  1. Rename and document the project requirements.
  2. Select exact ICs/modules from available library parts.
  3. Verify every IC against datasheets.
  4. Build the full schematic with USB-C, protection, 3.3 V rail, MCU, sensor, programming/debug, and passives.
  5. Run electrical review and fix violations.
  6. After schematic approval, proceed to PCB placement and routing.
