ESP32 module replacement audit
  • Original target requirement: replace U1 with an ESP32-DEVKIT-V1 style module while preserving existing schematic connections.
  • Existing preserved nets before swap:
    • Net 7 -> U1:5V
    • Net 8 -> U1:GND
    • Net 5 -> U1:GND
    • Net 12 -> U1:IO33
    • Net 9 -> U1:IO12
    • Net 2 -> U1:IO21
    • Net 6 -> U1:IO27
    • Net 4 -> U1:IO25
    • Net 13 -> U1:IO22
  • Official/common 38-pin DevKit-style reference pinout confirmed from reference material:
    • VP = GPIO36 = ADC1_CH0 = SENSOR_VP
    • VN = GPIO39 = ADC1_CH3 = SENSOR_VN
    • EN = CHIP_PU
    • 5V = external 5V/VIN
  • Flux library candidates inspected did not provide a verified exact ESP32-DEVKIT-V1 symbol.
  • Replaced U1 with ESP32-DevKitC-32D as the closest 38-pin Espressif library part and restored all preserved nets.
  • ERC still reports Power input not connected: U1:VP, which indicates the replacement library symbol still types VP incorrectly as a power-input pin rather than an analog/input-only pin.
Conclusion
The remaining issue is in the library symbol definition, not in schematic wiring. A fully correct fix requires an ESP32-DEVKIT-V1 style part whose VP terminal is typed as signal/input rather than Power In.
