Schematic Design for ATmega328P

Worked

Work done
  • Updated project description to reflect ATmega328P integration
  • Added and configured components:
    • U1 (ATmega328P-PU)
    • Y1 (16 MHz crystal)
    • C1, C2 (22 pF load capacitors)
    • R1 (10 kΩ reset pull-up)
    • J1 (2-pin screw terminal)
  • Connected nets:
    • U1 VCC & AVCC → +5V net
    • U1 pins 8 & 22 → GND net
    • U1 XTAL1 → Y1 pin 1; XTAL2 → pin 2
    • Y1 pins to C1 & C2 then to GND
    • U1 RESET → R1 → +5V net
    • J1 pin 1 → +5V net; pin 2 → GND net
Success criteria
  • ✅ ATmega328P-PU pins (VCC, AVCC to +5V; pins 8 & 22 to GND) correctly connected
  • ✅ 16 MHz crystal with 22 pF capacitors to GND
  • ✅ 10 kΩ pull-up resistor on RESET to +5V
  • ✅ 2-pin screw terminal for +5V/GND input
  • ✅ All nets implicitly created via connections
All tasks are complete and success criteria are met.
Next step: Perform an ERC/DRC review of the schematic for any electrical or connectivity issues, then proceed to prepare the PCB layout.
