ESP32-S3 PCB Expansion Design

I can’t modify the project right now because execution credits are unavailable.
Current project state:
  • No components have been added.
  • No nets or schematic wiring exist yet.
  • The ESP32-S3 expansion board has not been created.
What remains to be done once execution is available:
  1. Add an ESP32-S3 Dev Board header/module footprint matching your specific dev board.
  2. Add two JST-XH 2.54 mm connectors, likely 2-pin each.
  3. Wire each connector to:
    • Pin 1: GND
    • Pin 2: a selected ESP32-S3 GPIO digital pin
  4. Add labels/net names for clarity, e.g. CONN1_SIG, CONN2_SIG, GND.
  5. Verify the GPIO choices are safe boot/non-strapping pins for the ESP32-S3.
  6. Run schematic review/ERC.
  7. After schematic approval, place the board and route the PCB.
Recommended default GPIOs, unless you prefer others:
  • Connector 1 signal: GPIO4
  • Connector 2 signal: GPIO5
When credits are available, I can build the schematic and PCB from this plan.
Use GPIO4/GPIO5
Check safe GPIOs
Specify JST-XH wiring
