PCB Design for RF Energy Harvesting BLE System

0:00

Work completed
  • Updated project description with detailed goals and added hashtags (#RF, #EnergyHarvesting, #BLE).
  • Defined system architecture and saved a mermaid diagram in project properties.
  • Placed edge-mount SMA connector J1.
  • Added AEM10941 PMU component U1.
Remaining tasks
  • Add SMS7630-040LF rectifier and assign anode/cathode to RF_IN/RECT_DC nets.
  • Integrate nRF52810 (Raytac MDBT42Q) BLE module with SWD pads and STATUS_LED.
  • Place KR-5R5C334-R supercapacitor and set capacitance/voltage properties.
  • Configure MPPT (R1, R2) and OVP/UVP (R3, R4) resistor dividers.
  • Complete all decoupling networks on VIN_DC, VSTOR, VOUT.
  • Create SWD and test-pad connectors for RF_IN, RECT_DC, VSTOR, VOUT, GND.
  • Make all net connections per reference schematic.
  • Perform schematic review and validate part ratings.
  • Prepare PCB layout (stackup, zones, controlled-impedance trace, thermal via stitching).
  • Define layout rules, place components, and route nets.
  • Run ERC/DRC and generate outputs for production.
Success criteria status
  • No nets or functional connections implemented yet; layout not started. All criteria remain unmet.
Next step Proceed to the Connectivity phase: place the SMS7630-040LF rectifier, create the RF_IN and RECT_DC nets, and wire the SMA connector through the rectifier to the PMU VIN_DC input.
