Action 4 remains blocked: safe correction of the placed terminal metadata could not be verified, so no design changes were made. Fresh checks still show three Missing Power errors—U1 VBUS_EN/VBAT and U2 VDD12_SW_OUT—plus the incorrect U2/L2 association; placement and copper checks remain clear, with details in ERC Metadata Remediation.
Shall I proceed with action 5’s routing-constraint review only, keeping routing and geometry changes paused until the stackup is resolved?
I’ll review the PCIe, RGMII, and Ethernet routing constraints only—pair definitions, impedance targets, timing/length requirements, and reference planes. I won’t change geometry or start routing while the stackup remains unresolved.
The routing-constraint review reported completion, but I could not retrieve its findings before tool access ended, so action 5 is not yet reconciled or verified.
This session requested a read-only review; no board edits or routing were applied by me. Next is to retrieve the report, assess its PCIe/RGMII/Ethernet findings, and present the results for your approval before any further action.
Attempt completed; metadata defects not resolved. No electrical, terminal-property, component-replacement, placement, footprint, routing, board, stackup, stencil, via or rule mutation was performed. Only this evidence file was created. Action 5 was not attempted.

Inspect placed/source U1 and U2 metadata and available native operations
Completed, with inspection limitation
Source pins and placed identities/NCs inspected; the native placed schematic read does not expose terminal electrical property strings. Checker classification is observable but is not a raw metadata dump.
Correct U1 VBUS_EN/VBAT metadata
Blocked
Backing source symbol already shows Output/Input respectively; no verified full-state-preserving consumable-instance update was available.
Correct U2 VDD12_SW_OUT metadata
Blocked
Backing source symbol shows Unspecified; placed checker still calls it a power input despite correct NC. No native placed-terminal property target was available.
Resolve false U2/L2 stage association
Blocked
Incorrect association remains in fresh checks; no circuit or placement change is justified.

Preserve circuit and physical state
Completed for this action
No design mutations issued; target connectivity and protected placement read back.
Pin Type = Unspecified; Terminal Type = unspecified
Missing Power Error → same Error
U2 pin 65 VDD_OTP
Same U2 identifiers
Pin Type = Unspecified; Terminal Type = unspecified; no Pin Role shown
Falsely associated with L2 output on 3V3_MAIN → unchanged
U2's current backing symbol reports all 73 terminals Unspecified, including VDD_SW_IN, VDD12_SW_FB, VDD25_REG_OUT, VDD_REG_IN, VDD12CORE and analog supplies. This is source-symbol evidence, not proof of the electrical strings baked into the placed version, and not proof that a corrected published revision is consumable. Exact placed Pin Type/Pin Role strings remain unexposed by available read operations.
Terminal type/role changes actually applied: none. No component-wide Pin Type was substituted for a terminal property.
Sourced rationale
CM5 pin 111 VBUS_EN is explicitly an output signaling that USB VBUS should be enabled, not a supply input. Output is therefore the justified electrical direction; the existing source symbol already carries it.
CM5 pin 76 VBAT is an RTC battery input, 2.5–3.5 V, typically 3 V. It provides backup power to retain time while CM5 is off. Limitation: the fresh datasheet query did not find an explicit instruction permitting VBAT to float when backup is unused. Consequently this action does not independently certify the prior report's optional-NC interpretation, nor change the battery-input semantics merely to suppress ERC. Existing NC and source Input classification were preserved.
LAN7431 VDD12_SW_OUT is the unfiltered output of the internal 1.2 V switcher, not a power input. The external-regulator configuration explicitly leaves this output NC. Thus the existing NC is correct and must not be rewired to clear Missing Power. A corrected source should describe the internal switcher output rather than a mandatory power input.
VDD_OTP is a 3.3 V OTP/PCIe I/O supply load, not a switch node. VDD12CORE is a 1.2 V core supply input. VDD25_REG_OUT is an LDO output, not a switching node. Previous U2 evidence is retained in switching-power-stage-placement-repair; these corrections were not redone.
Exact native-operation blocker
mutate_component_properties targets schematic component designators in the active project; it has no project selector or dedicated placed-terminal override operation. Read-only get_property_config targeting U1:VBUS_EN::111 returned No component found with designator. No unsuccessful old terminal mutation was repeated.
mutate_pins changes connectivity/NC only; it is not a terminal electrical-type editor.
publish_part publishes the active project. Publishing this board would not revise U1/U2 terminal definitions; it was not called.
Atomic mutate_components replacement does exist: it advertises connected-pin name mapping, duplicate-name resolution by pin number and a drop-in-footprint guard. It does not establish complete preservation of all existing NCs, schematic wire vertices, local per-pad rules/UUID targets, footprint repairs and thermal/paste nodes. There is no exposed metadata-only version-refresh or replacement dry-run proving those invariants. Therefore replacement was unattempted, not asserted universally unsupported.
U2 in particular has instance-local perimeter/EP repairs, disabled mount copper, nine paste windows and 36 thermal vias, documented in u2u3-footprint-repair-and-validation-report. A connected-pin map alone is insufficient evidence for full-state preservation.
Current source projects: U1 dgobc/cm5pkicadsym6v; U2 lcsc/yxxrdko. No source-project edits/publishing were issued. Looking up U1 with its placed part-version UUID in get_symbol failed because that UUID is not a project-history version; this prevents treating a current backing-symbol inspection as an inspection of the placed baked revision.
The documentation search partially confirms component-update availability but does not provide the required state-preservation guarantee:
When that other user updates a component and publishes the update, that update can then be applied to your project.

Table
Pin / path
Before and final state
U1 VBUS_EN, VBAT
Both without a rail, both explicitly NC; 115 total U1 NC pins remain in the readback.
U2 VDD12_SW_OUT
No net; explicitly NC; present among 18 U2 NC pins.
U2 VDD_SW_IN and VDD12_SW_FB
Both 3V3_MAIN, preserving switcher-disable configuration.
U2 VDD_REG_IN and VDD25_REG_OUT
Both 2V5_MAIN, preserving prior LDO bypass repair.
U2 VDD_OTP
3V3_MAIN supply load.
U6.SW → L2.P1
BUCK3V3_SW; true L2 regulator is U6. L2.P2 feeds 3V3_MAIN.
U8.SW → L4.P1
BUCK1V2_SW; true L4 regulator is U8. L4.P2 feeds 1V2_MAIN.
The remaining Switching Power Stage Error demands rotating L2 toward U2 (97.7 mm versus 96.3 mm pad distances). Its Warning treats U2.VDD_OTP → L2.P2 on 3V3_MAIN as a switching path (115.4 mm estimated route for 97.7 mm air). These are false associations to the inductor output rail, not U6's BUCK3V3_SW node. They remain active and unwaived. No L4/U2 association was returned.
Protected positions read back: U1 (−81.19,25.425) mm / 270°; U2 (−10,0) mm / 90°; U3 (14,0) mm / 180°; J1–J6 Y=−48.43 mm, X=−57.5,−34.5,−11.5,11.5,34.5,57.5 mm / 0°. L2 remains (80,33) mm and L4 (25,56) mm; no rotation rule was displayed for these inductors. No board/port-capacitor/footprint mutation was performed. These are fresh coordinates, not coordinates copied from the older repair report.

Checkpoint
Metadata remediation remains blocked on safe placed-terminal editing/refresh and exact baked-property observability. VBUS_EN and U2's disabled switcher-output classifications are electrically incorrect; VBAT's explicit unused-pin instruction remains an additional evidence limitation. Internal feedback submission was attempted but failed, so no ticket is claimed filed. Pause here; no action 5 or further circuit/layout work was performed.
