Flux Product Design

Briefly describe what it's like to design a complete product in Flux. Help me understand what the PCB-first and enclosure-first design workflows are like to work with.
Designing a complete product in Flux is an iterative workflow that keeps electronics, PCB layout, mechanical fit, firmware planning, and manufacturing connected in one project.
  • PCB-first: Start with requirements and system architecture, then build and verify the schematic, size and lay out the PCB, route it, and run design checks. Once connector, mounting-hole, and component positions stabilize, design the enclosure around the real board geometry. This is best when electrical performance, board cost, or an existing PCB defines the product.
  • Enclosure-first: Start with how the product is held, mounted, operated, and connected. Establish the external shape, controls, ports, assembly method, and internal keepouts; then define the PCB envelope and place electronics to fit those constraints. This is best for handhelds, wearables, tightly packaged products, and designs where appearance or ergonomics dominates.
In either workflow, Flux supports repeated fit checks and refinement before preparing manufacturing outputs and bring-up plans. No project changes were made in this session; execution stopped because your ACUs ran out.
