I’m blocked because the project execution budget is exhausted, so I can’t add components, consult datasheets, wire the schematic, or run review checks in this session.
Current project state:
Project is still empty: 0 components, 0 nets.
No schematic, layout, or validation work has been applied yet.
Recommended design plan for when execution is available:
Use an ultra-low-power Wi-Fi + BLE 5.x MCU/module, likely an ESP32-C6/C3/S3-class module depending on final power/features.
Add a digital temperature/humidity sensor over I²C, e.g. Sensirion SHT4x/SHTC3-class or equivalent consumer-grade T/RH sensor.
USB-C power input:
USB-C receptacle with CC pull-downs for 5 V default sink mode.
Input protection sized for 0.5–3 A sources.
Reverse-current/reverse-polarity protection.
OVP, UVLO, and OCP protection on VBUS.
TVS protection on USB-C VBUS/CC as appropriate.
Power tree:
Protected USB-C 5 V input.
3.3 V regulator sized from a real power budget for MCU Wi-Fi transmit peaks plus sensor and margins.
Proper input/output capacitors per regulator datasheet.
RF/layout requirements:
Use a certified radio module if this is for consumer use.
Keep antenna edge clear of copper, ground, and components per module datasheet.
Place decoupling close to MCU/module power pins.
Validation still required:
Datasheet review for every IC/module.
Power-budget calculation before selecting protection/regulator parts.
ERC review until clean.
Schematic-to-layout checkpoint before placement.
Placement confirmation before routing.
Once execution is available again, the first concrete step should be to create the full schematic with datasheet-grounded part selection and power-budget sizing.
