Part Metadata Review and Updates

Done — I reviewed the part, filled in the missing metadata, set the official Würth datasheet URL, and checked the symbol/footprint against the datasheet using the standard part-project sync approach where the datasheet is the source of truth and pin count must match exactly

Datasheet URLMatchSet to official Würth URL
Pin countMatchDatasheet says 2; project has 2 terminals
Pin typeMatchPassive is appropriate for this capacitor
Pin polarityMatchNon-polarized in datasheet; project now reflects that
Symbol styleMostly matchGeneric 2-pin passive symbol is appropriate
Footprint pad countMatchFootprint has 2 pads
Pin descriptionsImprovedAdded concise descriptions to both terminals
Package namingFlagFootprint asset name suggests P15L18W5H11, which does not obviously match datasheet body dimensions 18 × 10 × 16 mm
Main mismatch / concern
The only substantive flag is the footprint naming clue:
  • Datasheet mechanical body: 18.0 × 10.0 × 16.0 mm
  • Footprint asset name: WCAP-FTXX_P15L18W5H11
P15 and L18 look right, but W5H11 does not line up with the datasheet’s 10 mm width and 16 mm height.
That does not prove the footprint is wrong, but it is enough to flag for review. The indexed PCB data confirms pad count, but it does not expose enough raw geometry to prove the drill diameter and body outline exactly match the datasheet.
What I changed
  • Set the official datasheet URL
  • Added missing manufacturer and part metadata
  • Kept the project as a capacitor part with designator prefix C
  • Added concise pin descriptions for both terminals
  • Left the 2-pin passive symbol structure intact, since that matches this part type
If you want, I can do one more pass focused only on the footprint geometry and try to verify the actual drill size and pad spacing against the uploaded KiCad footprint file.
