A USB‑C accessory cannot directly read an iPhone’s internal temperature sensors. The practical design is an external contact-temperature probe with a digital sensor, USB‑C microcontroller, and companion iOS app. Remaining decisions include probe style, temperature range/accuracy, and whether the device should be USB-powered or wireless.
