  • Level translators placed and configured:
    • U5, U6, U7, U8 as SN74LVC1T45 (VCCA→3.3 V, VCCB→DVDD, GND→DGND; DIR pins set per signal direction)
  • Four 33 Ω series resistors added near U2:
    • R1, R2, R3, R4 with MPN “GEN-33R-0603”
  • SPI nets connected:
    • CS: U1 IO5 → U5 A → U5 B → R1 → U2 ~{CS}
    • SCLK: U1 IO18 → U6 A → U6 B → R2 → U2 SCLK
    • MOSI: U1 IO23 → U7 A → U7 B → R3 → U2 SDI
    • MISO: U2 SDO → U8 B → U8 A → R4 → U1 IO19
  • SPI test points inserted and labeled:
  • Net “VCCB” renamed to DVDD for deferred power implementation
  • ERC errors resolved by:
    • Excluding analog buffers U3/U4 from PCB footprints (temporary)
    • Assigning MPN “GEN-33R-0603” to R1–R4
Success criteria review
  • ✅ Four SN74LVC1T45 translators placed with correct VCCA/VCCB/GND/DIR connections
  • ✅ SPI signals translated with 33 Ω series resistors near U2
  • ✅ Labeled SPI test points in place
  • ✅ SPI nets isolated from analog; AGND/DGND separation maintained
  • ✅ DVDD net defined and left unpowered
  • ✅ ERC clean (with schematic-only resolutions)
Next step Proceed to Phase 3: design the automotive power subsystem (12 V input protection, buck/LDO regulators, isolated ±15 V rails) and prepare for PCB layout stackup.
