ESP32-WROOM-32 Connection Guide

1. Setting Trace Width
Here’s exactly how to change the width of a selected trace:
  • In the right-hand panel, navigate to “Object Specific Rules.”
  • Select the Edit button and then Add.
  • Search for Trace Width in the rule selector and select Add.
  • In the property’s field, enter 3 mm.

2. Creating a Keep-Out Zone
Use a Keep Out rule to push copper (or other objects) away from your antenna trace by 2 mm:
Keep Out Rule
  • Select the object to create a copper fill around (such as an antenna trace).
  • Navigate to the Object-specific rules on the right and click Edit → Add.
  • Find and add the Keep Out rule.
  • Enter 2 mm as the keep-out distance.
  • Flux will regenerate copper fills (and prevent other objects) within that zone.

3. Enforcing Trace Length
I couldn’t find documentation on scoping or enforcing a specific trace length (e.g., 28 mm) as a layout rule. Flux currently does not expose a “length constraint” rule—you’ll need to manually route the antenna trace to that length and verify it using the measure tool.
If you have further questions, you can browse the Flux docs or join the Flux User Community:

Draw exact length
Compute impedance
