BTL2030 AmplifierU1Main amplifier IC. Place it in the center of the schematic.BTL2030 Amplifier
Decoupling CapacitorC10.1µFConnect from each VCC pin of U1 to Ground.Capacitor
Bulk CapacitorC2≥100µF (as needed)Connect from the main VCC supply to Ground to stabilize the power input for U1.Capacitor
Audio Input ConnectorAudio JackFor the input signal. Use your preferred Audio Jack.Audio Jack
Input Coupling CapacitorC3~1µF (non-polar, if possible)Connect between the Audio Jack and the input pin of U1 (for AC coupling and DC isolation).Capacitor
Output Low-Pass Filter (Optional)See note belowIf desired, add an LC filter on the outputs to smooth the PWM/bridge-tied load signal. For example, use an inductor and capacitor pair.See next line
LC Filter – InductorL1e.g., 1mH (as required)Series element for the low-pass filter on the output signal.Inductor
LC Filter – Output CapacitorC4e.g., 10µF (non-polar or as advised)Capacitor to complete the LC filter, connected from the output node (after L1) to Ground or to the load side as per design.Capacitor
Speaker or Load ConnectorSpeaker JackConnect the filtered output (or directly from U1 if no filter is used) to the speaker load.Speaker Jack
GroundMake sure every component with a ground connection is tied to the dedicated Ground component.Ground

Additional Notes:
  1. Power Supply:
    • Ensure that the VCC supply voltage is within the operating range specified by the BTL2030 datasheet.
    • Use both decoupling (C1) and bulk (C2) capacitors on the supply for stability.
  2. Input Stage:
    • The Audio Jack provides the input signal, which is AC coupled via C3 to avoid any unwanted DC offset at the amplifier input.
  3. Output Stage:
    • In a bridge-tied load (BTL) configuration, the load (speaker) is connected directly between the two output pins of U1.
    • An optional LC filter (using L1 and C4) can be added if additional smoothing of the output signal is desired.
  4. Grounding:
    • All ground pins and components that require a ground connection should be wired to the Ground component for a common reference.
