Created and verified the complete ESP32 Smart City Controller schematic, including HC-SR04 level shifting, servo stabilization, analog inputs, and six LED channels. Documentation: Project Specification, Power Budget, Firmware Starter, and Bring-Up Plan.
  • Open item: ERC reports U1:VP as an unpowered supply due to an incorrect library pin classification; VP is actually unused GPIO36 and is correctly marked no-connect.
  • Next: confirm the servo model/stall current, then configure the board and place components with antenna keepout and wide 5 V/ground paths.

RF Integration Notes — ESP32 Smart City Controller
  • Place U1 so its PCB antenna is at or beyond a carrier-board edge and faces outward.
  • Keep copper, traces, vias, components, and ground pours out of the exact antenna keepout specified by the populated DevKit/module datasheet on all layers.
  • Keep J1-to-J3 servo power and return routing away from the antenna and analog inputs.
  • Do not place C1 or other tall components near the antenna.
  • Confirm the exact ESP32 module revision and certification IDs before product labeling.
  • Any enclosure material, nearby metal, external antenna, or module substitution requires renewed RF assessment.
