Raspberry Pi CM5 Minimal Design

Add Raspberry Pi Compute module 5, and then add the minimum required set of components needed to run a simple project using the CM5. Keep the design as minimal and practical as possible while ensuring the module can boot and operate reliably. Include only the essential supporting circuitry: Power input and regulation Decoupling capacitors Required clocks or pull-ups/pull-downs Avoid unnecessary features or complex expansion circuitry Optimize for simplicity and fast prototyping Keep the BOM as small as possible.
I’m blocked because execution credits are exhausted, so I can’t modify the schematic or add components in this session.
Current project state:
  • No components added.
  • No nets or circuitry created.
  • The project is still an empty draft.
What remains to be done:
  • Add Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 connector/module footprint.
  • Add the minimum reliable boot support circuitry:
    • Power input connector.
    • Required power regulation rails for CM5.
    • Bulk and local decoupling capacitors.
    • Required pull-ups/pull-downs for boot/config pins.
    • Any required enable/reset sequencing per the CM5 datasheet.
  • Verify all CM5 power pins and grounds are connected.
  • Run schematic review/ERC and fix violations.
  • Only after the schematic is clean, proceed to layout with your confirmation.
I wasn’t able to consult the CM5 datasheet or make schematic changes before credits ran out.
