What remains to be done once ACUs are available:
  • Create a project specification for the USB-C powered Wi-Fi/BLE temperature and humidity sensor node.
  • Select the MCU/module, likely an ESP32-class Wi-Fi + BLE 5.x module or another ultra-low-power dual-radio SoC/module.
  • Select a digital temperature/RH sensor, USB-C receptacle, protection ICs, regulator/power-path parts, and passives.
  • Build the schematic with USB-C 5 V default sink behavior, reverse/OVP/UVLO/OCP protection, 0.5–3 A input planning, 3.3 V regulation, MCU, sensor, programming/debug, and RF keepouts.
  • Run power-budget and electrical checks.
  • Create layout with antenna clearance, USB-C placement, protection close to connector, and consumer-product manufacturability constraints.
  • Add bring-up, firmware pin map, and regulatory/compliance documentation for the wireless consumer device.
