Project Overview: JST PH Connector

I’ll research JST’s documentation and verified alternatives, then write a source-linked application and usage guide in the project files.
JST’s current PH datasheet lists −40 to +105 °C, while several distributor listings still show −25 to +85 °C; I’ll flag that discrepancy. The guide will also distinguish example signal assignments from connector pin functions and label both alternatives as requiring redesign—not verified drop-in replacements.

S3B-PH-SM4-TB(LF)(SN) Application and Usage Guide
The JST S3B-PH-SM4-TB(LF)(SN) is a three-position, side-entry surface-mount PH-series wire-to-board header with 2.0 mm contact pitch. Its principal use is a removable internal cable connection to a PCB, carrying low-power supply rails and/or signals rather than implementing a particular communications protocol. JST PH product page

Rating terminology: JST publishes connector working ratings and qualification limits, not separate semiconductor-style “absolute maximum” and “recommended operating conditions” tables. Do not reinterpret a dielectric test voltage as an allowable continuous operating voltage.
Created and checked the Application and Usage Guide in the project files, covering all seven requested sections with citations and source links. It flags the temperature-rating discrepancy, identifies unverified footprint/reflow details, and clearly labels both alternatives as functionally similar—not drop-in replacements.
