Part Review and Datasheet Update

I’ll correct the mismatched NPM1100-QDAA-R7 pins, populate pin descriptions/types from the Nordic QFN24 pin table, then run a fresh schematic/footprint review.
I found the three symbol naming mismatches still present: pin 3, pin 4, and the exposed pad label. I’m applying the corrected Nordic QFN24 names and descriptions now.
Updated the symbol/footprint pin labels and metadata: VOUTBSET2VOUTBSET0, NC_1AVSS, and exposed pad GNDAVSS_EP. I populated all 25 terminals with datasheet-based pin descriptions and Flux-valid pin types, then reviewed the symbol/footprint checks; no open warnings/errors were reported.
Open items:
  • The exposed pad is named AVSS_EP to avoid duplicate AVSS labels while preserving datasheet meaning.
  • Pad geometry dimensions were not exposed in the review output, so only pad naming/count consistency was verified.
Suggested next steps:
  1. If desired, import/check the exact Nordic QFN-24 4×4 mm land pattern dimensions.
  2. Publish the corrected part revision.

Exposed padAVSSGND / pin 25Partially match: symbol labels it GND, but datasheet names exposed pad AVSS.
Footprint/package review
  • Project footprint/pads: 24 perimeter pads plus a pad represented as GND/pin 25; 25 pad nodes total.
  • Expected package for NPM1100-QDAA-R7: QFN-24 4 mm × 4 mm with exposed AVSS pad.
  • The project package property QFN is broadly correct, but should be more specific as QFN-24 4x4 mm exposed pad if supported by the property set.
  • Could not verify exact pad geometries/dimensions from the current layout dump because detailed pad dimensions were not included in the inspection output.
  1. Pin 3 name: schematic uses VOUTBSET2; latest Nordic docs say this is VOUTBSET0. Rename terminal and pin description accordingly.
  2. Pin 4 name/function: schematic uses NC_1; latest Nordic docs say pin 4 is AVSS ground. This is an electrical mismatch and should be corrected.
  3. Exposed pad naming: schematic uses GND for pin 25; datasheet names exposed pad AVSS. Electrically ground, but for datasheet fidelity use AVSS or make pin description explicitly AVSS exposed pad / ground.
  4. Pin descriptions and pin types: current terminals mostly have Pin Type: Unspecified and no visible Pin Description. Populate pin types/descriptions from the datasheet table.
  5. Datasheet URL property: existing property points to DigiKey. Official Nordic PDF was recorded in Implementation Details because the available project-property mutation interface did not expose the dedicated Datasheet URL field.

Battery Power Management IC Lithium Ion/Polymer 24-QFN (4x4)
nPM1100 is an integrated Power Management IC (PMIC) with a linear-mode lithium-ion/lithium-polymer battery charger in a compact 2.1x2.1 mm WLCSP package. It has a highly efficient, dual-mode configurable output DC/DC buck regulator. nPM1100 is an extremely compact PMIC device, created for space constrained applications with a small lithium-ion or lithium-polymer battery. It is compatible with all nRF52 and nRF53 Series SoCs and supports charging batteries at up to 500 mA through USB, and also delivers up to 150 mA of current to power external components with regulated voltage. A minimum of five passive components are required for operation and the device functions without a control interface. It is the perfect companion for nRF52 and nRF53 multiprotocol SoCs in battery powered designs. Low quiescent current (IQ) extends battery life during shipping and storage with Ship mode, or in operation using auto-controlled hysteretic buck mode for high efficiency down to 1 µA loads. Charge and error indication LED drivers are built in. Charge profile limits are configurable and VBUS current limits can be fixed or auto-controlled with on-chip USB port detection.
