ADS8688W Part Cleanup

Create a clean project-local ADS8688W fork for abosolb
The consuming board project is abosolb/teensy-4p1-industrial-daq-controller. The current shared ADS8688W part UID f20d7966-474e-4c68-a694-886420974724 is contaminated with HDMI/TMDS terminal properties.
Required work
  1. Do not modify or republish the shared source part. Fork/clone it into a new project owned by abosolb (or otherwise create a new user/project-local part project with a distinct part UID), preserving symbol, exact 38 pins, and existing 38-pad TSSOP footprint.
  2. Use the TI ADS8688W datasheet (https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/ads8688w.pdf) as evidence. Preserve this exact pin mapping: 1 SDI; 2 RST/PD; 3 DAISY; 4 REFSEL; 5 REFIO; 6 REFGND; 7 REFCAP; 8 AGND; 9 AVDD; 10 AUX_INP; 11 AUX_GND; 12 AIN_6P; 13 AIN_6M; 14 AIN_7P; 15 AIN_7M; 16 AIN_0P; 17 AIN_0M; 18 AIN_1P; 19 AIN_1M; 20 AIN_2M; 21 AIN_2P; 22 AIN_3M; 23 AIN_3P; 24 AIN_4M; 25 AIN_4P; 26 AIN_5M; 27 AIN_5P; 28 AGND; 29 AGND; 30 AVDD; 31 AGND; 32 AGND; 33 DGND; 34 DVDD; 35 ALARM; 36 SDO; 37 SCLK; 38 CS.
  3. Remove these properties from every terminal wherever present: Controlled Impedance, Controlled Impedance Pair, Controlled Impedance Tolerance, Bus Group, Bus Type, Pair Role, PN Skew Max, Pair to Pair Skew Max, Pin Delay. No HDMI/TMDS values may remain anywhere.
  4. Correct terminal pin types from the TI pin-function table where supported (digital inputs/outputs, analog/passive, power/ground), while preserving pin numbers/names and symbol placement.
  5. Verify the footprint remains 38 distinct pads at 0.5 mm pitch with the same package/footprint geometry as the source, and the schematic has exactly 38 terminals.
  6. Publish the clean fork as a reusable part and return its new distinct part UID, version, and URL. Inspect the published fork to confirm no forbidden properties remain.
If direct forking is unavailable, create a new part project from datasheet-backed pin data and duplicate the source footprint geometry. Do not edit the source shared part.
I’ll create an independent ADS8688W part project under abosolb, preserve and verify the 38-pin symbol/footprint, remove all impedance/TMDS terminal metadata, publish it, then inspect the published result. The shared source UID will remain untouched.

ADS8688W Clean Local Part
16-bit, 500-kSPS, eight-channel, single-supply SAR ADC with ±12-V differential inputs The ADS8684W and ADS8688W are 4-channel and 8-channel, integrated data acquisition systems based on a 16-bit successive approximation (SAR) analogto-digital converter (ADC), operating at a throughput of 500kSPS. The devices feature integrated analog front-end circuitry for each input channel with overvoltage protection up to ±20V, a 4-channel or 8-channel multiplexer with automatic and manual scanning modes, and an on-chip, 4.096V reference with low temperature drift. Operating on a single 5V analog supply, each input channel on the devices can independently support bipolar input ranges of ±12.288V, ±6.144V, and ±3.072V and unipolar input ranges of 12.288V to 0V and 6.144V to 0V. The ADS8684W and ADS8688W offer a simple SPIcompatible serial interface to the digital host and also support daisy-chaining of multiple devices. The digital supply operates from 1.65V to 5.25V, enabling direct interface to a wide range of host controllers Features • 16-Bit ADCs with Integrated Analog Front-End • 4-, 8-Channel MUX with Auto and Manual Scan • Channel-Independent Programmable Inputs: – ±12.288V, ±6.144V, and ±3.072V – 12.288V to 0V and 6.144V to 0V • 5V Analog Supply: 1.65V to 5V I/O Supply • Constant Resistive Input Impedance: 1.2MΩ • Input Overvoltage Protection: Up to ±20V • On-Chip, 4.096V Reference with Low Drift • Excellent Performance: – 500kSPS Aggregate Throughput – DNL: ±0.6LSB; INL: ±0.8LSB – Low Drift for Gain Error and Offset – SNR: 91.5dB; THD: –102dB – Low Power: 65mW • AUX Input → Direct Connection to ADC Inputs • ALARM → High and Low Thresholds per Channel • SPI™-Compatible Interface with Daisy-Chain • Industrial Temperature Range: –40°C to 125°C #commonpartslibrary #ADS8688W #TexasInstruments #ADC #SARADC #DataAcquisition #IndustrialAutomation #SPI #PrecisionADC #AnalogFrontEnd #EmbeddedSystems #MeasurementSystems

Created an independent clone under abosolb without modifying the shared source:
  • Fork: /abosolb/ads8688w-clean-local-part
  • Confirmed source contamination and obtained TI datasheet evidence for all 38 pins and the 0.5 mm-pitch DBT0038A TSSOP-38 package.
  • The cleanup/publish task completed in the fork’s worker thread.
Open items
  • ACUs became unavailable before I could inspect the worker’s final report or independently confirm the published UID, version, footprint, and forbidden-property removal.
  • Therefore, I cannot yet certify the published artifact or provide its verified new part UID.
Once ACUs are available, the priority is to inspect the completed fork, verify all 38 terminals and pads, confirm zero HDMI/TMDS properties, and report the published UID/version.
