LED Blinker Circuit Design

Make a circuit that blinks a red LED once per second.
Power it with a 9V block battery through an on/off switch.
Use components that are easy to hand-solder.
I can’t make changes in the project right now because execution credits are unavailable.
Nothing has been added yet: the project is still empty with 0 components and 0 nets. The intended design should be a beginner-friendly, hand-solderable 9 V battery LED blinker using through-hole parts:
  • 9 V battery clip input
  • SPST on/off switch in series with battery positive
  • 555 timer in astable mode
  • Red LED blinking at ~1 Hz
  • LED current-limiting resistor
  • Timing resistors/capacitor selected for about one blink per second
  • 555 supply decoupling capacitor
  • Through-hole footprints for easy soldering
When execution is available, the next steps are:
  1. Add a through-hole NE555 timer circuit.
  2. Calculate/select timing values for ~1 Hz blink rate.
  3. Add the 9 V battery connector and switch.
  4. Wire the LED output with a safe current-limiting resistor.
  5. Add required 555 decoupling and control-pin capacitor.
  6. Run schematic review and fix any issues before moving to layout.
