Design a low-power consumer environmental sensor node named 'Purring Beige KITT' featuring dual‑radio Wi‑Fi 802.11 b/g/n and BLE 5.x connectivity, powered via USB‑C (5 V default sink). The design must include a robust power-path with reverse blocking, OVP, UVLO, OCP rated for 0.5–3 A sources, an efficient 3.3 V buck regulator, a digital I2C temperature/humidity sensor, I2C 4.7k pull-ups, and ESD protection (TVS diodes <1 pF) on USB data lines, with layout considerations (2.4 GHz antenna keepout and sensor thermal isolation).

#Implementation plan

Define system architecture
1. Create and document the block diagram including the Wi‑Fi/BLE MCU module, USB‑C power input, robust power-path protection circuitry, 5 V to 3.3 V buck regulator, and digital I2C temperature/humidity sensor.
2. Specify I2C pull-ups (4.7k) and additional passive components for decoupling as per datasheet recommendations.
Implement the power subsystem
1. Add a USB‑C receptacle configured for a 5 V sink with CC (using sink‑only Rd resistors).
2. Select, add, and connect a power-path protection device (eFuse or load switch) with reverse blocking, OVP, UVLO, and OCP configured for 0.5–3 A input sources.
3. Place a bidirectional TVS for ESD protection on the USB data lines ensuring <1 pF capacitance per line.
Integrate the voltage regulator and sensor

2. Define and reserve PCB layout zones for antenna keepout to support 2.4 GHz operation.
Final schematic and layout checks
1. Connect all schematics by properly linking power, ground, and I2C lines per design guidelines.
2. Verify that robust power-path protection and USB‑C ESD protection are correctly implemented.
3. Ensure sensor placement favors thermal isolation from noisy power components and the MCU.
