Flux Product Design Workflows

Briefly describe what it's like to design a complete product in Flux. Help me understand what the PCB-first and enclosure-first design workflows are like to work with.
Designing a complete product in Flux means working through the electronics, PCB, firmware, enclosure, and manufacturing needs together—checking how each decision affects the rest.
  • PCB-first: Start with the circuit, place connectors and components, then shape the enclosure around the board. This suits electronics-driven projects, but the case may need to grow or change to accommodate the PCB.
  • Enclosure-first: Start with the product’s size, shape, mounting, and user-facing controls, then fit the PCB inside those constraints. This suits handheld or space-constrained products, but makes component placement and routing more demanding.
Both workflows are iterative: connector access, mounting holes, heat, and assembly often require adjustments to both the board and enclosure. I haven’t changed your project this session; the design work remains untouched. Execution stopped because your ACUs ran out.
