PCB And Enclosure Design

Briefly describe what it's like to design a complete product in Flux. Help me understand what the PCB-first and enclosure-first design workflows are like to work with.
Designing a complete product in Flux is an iterative process where the electronics, PCB layout, mechanical enclosure, firmware plan, and manufacturing constraints stay together in one project.
  • PCB-first: Define requirements, design and verify the schematic, lay out and route the PCB, then build the enclosure around the actual board, connectors, buttons, mounting holes, and component clearances. This is usually fastest when electronics performance, cost, or an existing board drives the product.
  • Enclosure-first: Establish the product’s external form, user interaction, mounting, ports, and internal volume first. Then shape and place the PCB to fit those mechanical constraints. This is preferable when ergonomics, industrial design, or a fixed installation envelope defines the product.
In both workflows, Flux supports repeated electrical/mechanical fit checks and refinement toward prototypes and manufacturing outputs. No project changes were made in this session. Execution stopped because your ACUs ran out.
