MAKE A 2 IN 4 OUT WITH PREOGAMMER EXTENTION

@copilot MAKE A 2 AUDIO IN 4 OUT WITH A PROGRAMER EXTENTION
2y
To develop an audio mixer with 2-inputs and 4-outputs using the ADAU7002ACBZ-R7, you'd need to incorporate other components for amplification and splitting. The ADAU7002ACBZ-R7 from Analog Devices can only handle a single stereo input (2 channels from a digital MEMS microphone), so you will need another one to handle the second input. For 4 output channels, consider using an amplifier that can handle 4 channels e.g., TPA3244 in bridge-tied-load configuration.
Here is a basic system design:
  1. Input Stage (ADAU7002ACBZ-R7):
    • Connect the PDM microphones to the PDM_DAT and PDM_CLK pins of U1A (first ADAU7002ACBZ-R7) and U1B (second ADAU7002ACBZ-R7).
    • Connect the power supply to IOVDD of both ICs.
    • Connect GND to the system ground.
  2. Processor (ADAU1452): It's an audio digital signal processor from Analog Devices that can combine/mix stereo inputs and control volume.
    • Connect the SDATA and BCLK of both U1A and U1B to respective I2S input pins of ADAU1452.
    • Configure the ADAU1452 using SigmaStudio with USBi for programming. Wire the USBi to the SCL and SDA pins of ADAU1452.
  3. Output Stage (TPA3244 or Similar):
    • Connect I2S output of ADAU1452 to the input of the amplifier.
    • Connect the output channels of TPA3244 to your speakers.
This is a high-level outline that will need more detailed work. You may need to add decoupling capacitors, resistors or configuring the registers of ADAU1452 using Sigma studio.
Note: Assumptions have been made on the type of outputs (i.e., speakers) and processor used. Please tweak the design as per your system requirements.

MAKE A BALACED XLR OUTPUT WITH IT

@copilot MAKE A BALACED XLR OUTPUT WITH IT
2y
Creating a balanced XLR output (audio output) using the ES9038Q2M DAC (Digital to Analog Converter) involves several steps:
Here are the components needed for this setup:
  1. ES9038Q2M DAC (part U1) - converts digital audio data into analog audio signal.
  2. Balanced Line Driver - to maintain signal integrity over long cable runs.
  3. XLR Connector - where the balanced audio signals come out.
Please note that a balanced Line Driver and XLR connector are not listed in the project components, but these are needed for the task.
First, connect your ES9038Q2M DAC. Since we're making a balanced output, we'll use both DAC outputs (DACR and DACL) for the right and left channels.
  • Connect DACR (pin 3) and DACL (pin 8) pins to the inputs of your balanced line driver.
Second, interconnect the balanced line driver to XLR connectors.
  • Connect the Line Driver's output to the XLR Male Connector: positive (hot) output to pin 2, negative (cold) to pin 3.
Third, handle power connections:
  • Connect AVCC_R and AVCC_L to your power supply (typically +3.3V). These are the pins for the right and left analog supply voltages.
  • Connect DVCC to your digital power supply (also typically +3.3V).
  • Ground connections: AGND_R, AGND_L, and DGND.
Fourth, digital and control signals:
  • DATA1 and DATA2 are the digital audio input signals. Connect these to your digital audio source.
  • FSYNC is the frame sync signal for your digital audio input.
  • SCL and SDA are your I2C control lines.
  • The RESETB pin is the hardware reset pin.
This is quite generic and your actual setup might vary depending on your additional equipment and exact audio source. Face it towards your needs.
Remember to handle power decoupling and follow all the good practices in audio designs to minimize noise and unwanted signals.
Assumptions:
  • All interconnections are made using best practices in audio design, such as shielding, avoiding ground loops, etc.
  • All power connections have proper decoupling, i.e., capacitors are placed close to the supply pins.
  • Use conventional voltage levels for the supply: DVCC, AVCC_R, and AVCC_L typically are +3.3V.
  • Reset and I2C connections are handled according to your overall project requirements. Please refer to the ES9038Q2M datasheet for more info.
If any of these assumptions are wrong or you need more specific help, please let me know!
