3/3 Verify capacitor evidence, touched-net diffs, ERC, and all negative checks independently

Phase A: verify Stage 1 state, exact-part availability, and TPS63802 footprint geometry

Phase B: replace L3, add and wire U3, and add feedback divider

Verify capacitor evidence, touched-net diffs, ERC, and all negative checks independently

Received notification from "TPS63802 Audit" that it finished — picking the work back up.
Stage 2 build is complete:
  • U3 TPS63802DLAT installed and wired
  • L3 replaced with Murata DFE201612E-R47M=P2
  • R13/R25 feedback divider added
  • Critical switch nodes reported correctly separated: U3 pin 7/L3 pin 2=REG_SW2; U3 pin 9/L3 pin 1=REG_SW1
  • PG is explicitly unconnected; PGOOD_N unchanged
  • Initial ERC reported clean
The independent audit finished, but I cannot retrieve and reconcile its final report because no ACUs remain. That reconciliation, the full 12-item report, and final Stage 2 sign-off remain pending; no further project changes should be made until the audit is reviewed.
Reconcile the TPS63802 audit

Final User Decisions
  • Encoder: retain Bourns PEC11R-4220F-S0024. It is the 24-detent, 24-pulse variant and is explicitly accepted, superseding the original non-detented preference.
  • RGB: remove addressable LED circuitry; use a conventional common-cathode RGB LED with independent PWM.
  • Power indicator: add a normally closed, cuttable/wickable solder-jumper power LED on 3V3.
Encoder
  • MPN: PEC11R-4220F-S0024, LCSC C143797.
  • Existing GPIO assignments and support remain: A=GPIO5, B=GPIO6, press=GPIO4.
  • External 10 kΩ pull-ups remain; A/B debounce is firmware-based. Push has a 10 kΩ/100 nF filter and wakes from deep sleep active low.
Conventional RGB LED
  • LED1: Kingbright APFA3010LSEKJ3ZGKQBC, LCSC C5278712, 3.0 × 1.5 mm right-angle 4-SMD.
  • Datasheet pinout: pin 1 red anode, pin 2 common cathode, pin 3 green anode, pin 4 blue anode.
  • Datasheet Vf at 2 mA: red 1.8 V typical/2.1 V maximum; green and blue 2.65 V typical/3.1 V maximum.
  • Common cathode connects to GND; PWM is active high.

Table

ChannelGPIOResistorLCSCTypical current
Red7510 Ω, UNI-ROYAL 0603WAF5100T5EC23193(3.3−1.8)/510 ≈ 2.9 mA
Green8220 Ω, UNI-ROYAL 0603WAF2200T5EC22962(3.3−2.65)/220 ≈ 3.0 mA
Blue15220 Ω, UNI-ROYAL 0603WAF2200T5EC22962(3.3−2.65)/220 ≈ 3.0 mA
GPIO7, GPIO8, and GPIO15 are non-strapping pins and do not conflict with flash/PSRAM on ESP32-S3-WROOM-1-N8. Firmware drives all three low before deep sleep.
Disconnectable Power Indicator
  • LED2: ROHM SML-D13FWT86C, green 0603, Vf approximately 2.1 V, LCSC C459722.
  • R22: 3.00 kΩ Ever Ohms CR0603F3K00P05Z, LCSC C881244.
  • JP1: validated Solder Jumper 2 Bridged footprint; default normally closed and excluded from BOM.
  • Path: 3V3 → JP1 → R22 → LED2 → GND.
  • Current: (3.3−2.1)/3000 ≈ 0.4 mA.
  • Disable by cutting the bridge or removing solder with wick. Layout/silkscreen must identify POWER LED DISABLE.
Power Architecture and Sourcing
  • BQ24074RGTT / C2861252 remains the power-path charger.
  • U3 is now an internally consistent TPS63001DRCR / C28060 component. Its schematic identity, manufacturer MPN, TI datasheet, and DRC VSON-10 footprint all use the DRCR ordering suffix. A project-local verified part was created because the available global DRCR library entry carried an incorrect TPS749 package field.
  • L3 FXL0530-2R2-M / C177247: 2.2 µH, 29 mΩ max DCR, >5.6 A saturation-current rating.
  • Bulk MLCCs and all other passives retain the previously assigned real LCSC MPNs.
Updated Power Budget
  • ESP32 transient allowance: 500 mA.
  • RGB full-on typical: approximately 9 mA.
  • Power LED: approximately 0.4 mA.
  • 3V3 transient design target remains 600 mA with ample status-LED margin.
Validation
  • Final schematic: 49 components and 37 named nets; JP1 is excluded from the assembly BOM, yielding 48 BOM instances.
  • Connectivity, ERC, BOM MPN, missing-footprint, passive-rating, sourcing, and schematic-legibility checks were re-run after the final changes.
  • All substantive checks are clean. Eight remaining legibility findings are cosmetic auto-generated portal-label overlaps, not electrical or connectivity defects.
