Flux Product Design Workflows

Briefly describe what it's like to design a complete product in Flux. Help me understand what the PCB-first and enclosure-first design workflows are like to work with.
Designing a complete product in Flux means iterating on the electronics, PCB, firmware, and enclosure together—checking that connections, mounting, connectors, and manufacturing constraints all agree.
  • PCB-first: Start with the circuit, then size and lay out the board before designing the enclosure around it. This suits electronics-driven products; the trade-off is that board placement can constrain the final shape and access to connectors.
  • Enclosure-first: Start with the product’s shape, mounting, controls, and connector openings, then fit the PCB inside those constraints. This suits products with a fixed form factor; the trade-off is tighter placement and routing, sometimes requiring multiple boards.
Both workflows are iterative rather than one-way: mechanical fit can force PCB changes, and electronics can force enclosure changes. I haven’t changed your project this session; execution stopped because your ACUs ran out.
