Checking Panasonic TQ2 5V Audit progress…
"Panasonic TQ2 5V Audit" completed.
I’m reconciling the completed audit against the actual project state now, including the saved report, metadata, symbol pins, and footprint checks.
Completed and reconciled the TQ2-5V audit. The official Panasonic datasheet URL, manufacturer/MPN, package, relay specifications, terminal descriptions/types, project description, and custom relay symbol are now updated; the 10-pad footprint matches the datasheet pin pattern.
  • Key specs: 5 V polarized coil, 178 Ω, 28.1 mA, 140 mW; DPDT/2 Form C; 1 A at 30 VDC or 0.5 A at 125 VAC; 3 ms operate/release; −40 to +70 °C; 14 × 9 × 5 mm.
  • Pinout: pins 1/10 are polarized coil +/−; pins 2–4 and 7–9 are the two NC/COM/NO poles; physical pins 5/6 correctly remain present but are marked no internal connection.
  • Footprint: verified 2.54 mm pitch, 7.62 mm row spacing, 10.16 mm span, ten Ø1.0 mm holes, and correct pin-1 marking.
  • Open item: the fabrication outline lacks two horizontal edges and there is no parsed courtyard. A repair attempt triggered a footprint-parser fallback and was safely reverted; the pad pattern remains manufacturing-correct.
Full cited results are in TQ2-5V Datasheet Audit Report in the project Files.

TQ2-5V Datasheet Audit Report
Audit date: 2026-09-11
Project: silicon-yard/tq2-5v
Overall batch status: Completed with one footprint-documentation limitation
1. Authoritative source and variant identity — COMPLETED
The stored Datasheet URL was changed to Panasonic Industry’s current TQ relay catalog PDF:
https://industry.panasonic.eu/storage/imported/industrial.panasonic.com/ac/cdn/e/control/relay/signal/catalog/mech_eng_tq.pdf
The official ordering table pairs non-Japanese Type No. TQ2-5V with Panasonic Part No. ATQ209 for the standard PC-board-terminal, single-side-stable, 5 V DC variant.
The part is a polarized, single-side-stable 2 Form C (DPDT) relay with standard break-before-make contacts.
2. Root metadata — COMPLETED
The following project/root-part fields were populated or corrected:

AC Contact Rating0.5 A at 125 VAC, resistive

Release Time3 ms max
Operating Temperature−40 to +70 °C
The project description was corrected to identify the exact relay and removed the misleading generic “2 A” wording.
Datasheet evidence: the 5 V coil is 28.1 mA and 178 Ω at 20 °C, with 140 mW rated operating power and 150% maximum allowable coil voltage at 20 °C. Contact ratings are 1 A at 30 V DC and 0.5 A at 125 V AC; maximum switching current is 1 A. Operate and release times are each 3 ms maximum under the catalog conditions. The standard-contact 2 Form C usage/transport/storage range is −40 to +70 °C and 5–85% RH, without icing or condensation.
3. Pinout and terminal semantics — COMPLETED
The datasheet bottom-view, de-energized schematic was used. Electrically used pins are 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, 10; physical terminals 5 and 6 have no internal connection.

Table

PinFunctionElectrical typeGroupOrder
1Polarized coil positivePassiveCoil1
2Pole 1 normally closedPassivePole 11
3Pole 1 commonPassivePole 12
4Pole 1 normally openPassivePole 13
5No internal connectionNot ConnectedNo Connect1
6No internal connectionNot ConnectedNo Connect2
7Pole 2 normally openPassivePole 23
8Pole 2 commonPassivePole 22
9Pole 2 normally closedPassivePole 21
10Polarized coil negativePassiveCoil2
All ten physical terminals remain mapped exactly once to footprint pads 1–10. Pins 5 and 6 were retained physically and marked Not Connected, rather than deleted. Coil polarity is retained as pin 1 + and pin 10 −; Panasonic requires observing the internal-connection polarity for polarized relay coils.
4. Symbol — COMPLETED, renderer limitation noted
The previous symbol was only a box with pin stubs and did not communicate the relay mechanism. Its default SVG asset was replaced with a topology drawing containing:
  • polarized coil between pins 1 and 10;
  • two de-energized Form C contact sets;
  • COM-to-NC closed state and NO open state;
  • mechanical linkage indication;
  • explicit no-internal-connection marks for pins 5 and 6.
The explicit parametric style override was removed, and read-back reports the effective symbol style as custom with all 10 terminal positions preserved.
Verification limitation: Flux’s get_symbol read-back confirms custom-symbol selection, terminal positions, names, and metadata, but its rendered SVG/image omits the custom asset’s internal path geometry. The uploaded raw SVG source was therefore inspected directly to verify the coil/contact paths.
5. Footprint — VERIFIED WITH LIMITATION
The active KiCad footprint contains 10 plated through-hole pads with:
  • horizontal pitch: 2.54 mm;
  • row spacing: 7.62 mm;
  • end-to-end terminal span: 10.16 mm;
  • drill diameter: 1.0 mm;
  • copper pad diameter/size: 1.5 mm;
  • rectangular pad 1 and circular pads 2–10;
  • pin-1 silkscreen marker;
  • body envelope corresponding to 14.0 × 9.0 mm.
This matches Panasonic’s recommended copper-side PCB pattern: 10 × Ø1.0 mm holes, 2.54 mm pitch, 7.62 mm row spacing, 10.16 mm span, with ±0.1 mm pattern tolerance. The catalog body dimensions are 14.0 × 9.0 × 5.0 mm.
Limitation / blocker: the active footprint’s fabrication outline contains only its two vertical body edges and has no parsed courtyard. A corrected replacement source was authored, but the Flux footprint parser created an unintended fallback board layout when that asset was replaced. Those trial mutations were reverted atomically to preserve the known-good pad pattern and model mapping. Thus pad geometry, terminal mapping, pin-1 marking, and body envelope are verified; a complete active F.Fab rectangle/courtyard remains unresolved in-tool.
6. 3D model — COMPLETED
A usable TQ2-5V.stp model is present and renders as a 10-lead through-hole relay. The model is unrotated, scale 1:1, Z-up, and uses an effective translation of approximately X = 4.9804 mm, Y = 3.7948 mm, Z = 0 mm. The footprint’s embedded model offset is 5.08 mm, 3.81 mm, 0 mm, placing the model origin at the center of the 10.16 × 7.62 mm pin array. The independent position differs from that ideal center by about 0.10 mm in X and 0.02 mm in Y.
7. Final verification evidence
  • get_symbol pins: 10 pins present; descriptions, types, groups, orientations, and unique consecutive group orders populated.
  • get_symbol svg: effective symbol style is custom; all ten physical pin positions retained.
  • get_layout scene_tree: 10 pads present with verified pitch, row spacing, drill/pad sizes, pad-1 shape, model asset, scale, rotation, and translation.
  • STEP render: relay body and 10 leads visible.
  • Trial footprint mutations that degraded layout parsing were reverted; current layout is restored to footprint-only mode.
