Symbol and Terminal Cross-Check
The nine datasheet electrical pins are PG, SW, VOS, GND, EN, VIN, MODE/S-CONF, SS/TR, and FB/VSET. The Flux part exposes 13 terminals because four package contacts are split into additional physical lands:

Pin-description issue
All Flux terminal Pin Type fields are currently Unspecified, and no functional pin descriptions are stored. The datasheet defines PG as an output; VOS, EN, VIN, MODE/S-CONF, SS/TR, and FB/VSET as inputs; SW and GND are power/switch nodes. This is a metadata-quality mismatch that can reduce symbol clarity and ERC usefulness.
Footprint Cross-Check
Geometry
The footprint has 13 copper lands, consistent with TI's RYT0009A land-pattern drawing even though the device is marketed as a 9-pin package. Land sizes and principal spacing in the footprint align with the TI example:
  • 13 lands at approximately 0.25 mm width.
  • Six long perimeter lands approximately 0.875 mm long.
  • Four short lands approximately 0.4 mm long.
  • Two 0.5-mm-pitch side groups and center-axis lands consistent with the package drawing.
No obvious pad-count or land-pattern geometry mismatch was found.
Footprint asset naming
The embedded footprint asset is named TPS62901QRYTRQ1.kicad_mod, not TPS62903QRYTRQ1. TPS62901 and TPS62903 share the RYT package family, so the geometry can still be valid, but the filename is misleading and should be renamed or documented to avoid traceability errors.
Pin-1 indication and courtyard
A pin-1 marker is present. The courtyard is substantially larger than the nominal 2.20 mm × 2.00 mm package body; this is conservative rather than electrically incorrect, but it may unnecessarily constrain dense placement.
3D Model
The attached model is named TPS62903QRYTRQ1.stp and is rotated 180° in the layout asset. The current inspection confirms the model is present, but does not prove physical alignment or seating against the pads. A visual 3D alignment check is recommended before publishing.
Flagged Mismatches
  1. Part Type is wrong: Linear Regulator should be a switching regulator / synchronous buck converter classification.
  2. Package code is wrong: TO should be RYT / VQFN-HR-9 (with 13 solder lands in the TI land pattern).
  3. Pin descriptions and electrical types are missing: all 13 terminals are marked Unspecified.
  4. Terminal 12 naming is incomplete: MODE should preserve MODE/S-CONF and be clearly identified as a duplicate physical land.
  5. Footprint filename references TPS62901: likely package-compatible, but poor traceability.
  6. Pin-count presentation needs clarification: 13 Flux terminals represent 13 physical lands, while manufacturer package data specifies 9 electrical pins.
  • Change Part Type to Switching Voltage Regulator or Buck Converter.
  • Change Package or Case Code to RYT (VQFN-HR-9, 2.20 mm × 2.00 mm).
  • Populate pin electrical types and datasheet descriptions.
  • Rename duplicate terminals consistently, for example VOS.1/VOS.2, GND.1/GND.2, MODE/S-CONF.1/.2, and FB/VSET.1/.2, while preserving their common electrical identity.
  • Rename the footprint asset to match TPS62903QRYTRQ1 or to the generic package name RYT0009A.
  • Perform a visual 3D model-to-pad alignment check.
