Completed the NID100-5 part review and created NID100-5 Part Review. The pin count and pin mapping match the MEAN WELL datasheet, but I flagged incorrect logic/IC classification, missing pin types/descriptions, a product-page Datasheet URL instead of the direct PDF, and a likely undersized footprint courtyard/body outline versus the 50.8 × 27.5 × 12 mm L×W×H datasheet dimensions.
Open items:
  • Datasheet URL was already populated, so I did not overwrite it; recommended direct PDF is in the report.
  • Footprint/body outline should be corrected before approving the part.
Suggested next steps:

Footprint Findings
  • Pad count matches the datasheet.
  • Through-hole pad style is appropriate for the 0.64 mm pins.
  • 1.11 mm drill is plausible because the datasheet only gives pin size and does not provide a recommended PCB drill diameter; verify manufacturing fit if tightening the footprint.
  • Pin pitch should be exactly 2.54 mm. The first pad group currently uses 2.55 mm increments, a small cumulative error of about 0.05 mm over six pins. This is probably assemblable with 1.11 mm drills, but should be corrected to exact 2.54 mm.
  • The major mismatch is the footprint body/courtyard board-plane depth. The datasheet states 50.8 × 27.5 × 12 mm as L × W × H. The current body outline uses 50.8 × 12 mm, treating the 12 mm height as the PCB-plane depth. The footprint should reserve approximately 50.8 × 27.5 mm in the PCB plane, plus courtyard clearance/tolerance.
  • The current 52.8 × 14 mm courtyard is too narrow for the datasheet 27.5 mm width and creates a mechanical collision risk.
Mismatches / Risks to Flag
  1. Wrong classification metadata: Current Part Type = Integrated Circuits, library subtype Logic, and logicFunction = AND are incorrect. This part is a non-isolated DC-DC converter / PoL power module.
  2. Datasheet URL quality: Existing Datasheet URL points to a product page. Prefer the official direct PDF as the Datasheet URL.
  3. Missing pin types and pin descriptions: All terminals are Unspecified, reducing ERC usefulness and making R.C./TRIM behavior unclear.
  4. Footprint courtyard/body depth mismatch: Current outline/courtyard uses about 12-14 mm board-plane depth, but datasheet L × W × H indicates 27.5 mm board-plane width and 12 mm height.
  5. Minor pitch rounding issue: First pad group uses 2.55 mm rather than exact 2.54 mm pitch.
  6. Application-design cautions not captured in metadata: Non-isolated common, 100 µF max output capacitance, recommended 8 A input fuse, and remote-control thresholds should be captured in notes or pin descriptions.
Overall Verdict
The part identity, terminal count, and electrical pin mapping are correct. The part should be revised before final library approval because metadata classification is wrong, pin descriptions/types are missing, and the footprint courtyard/body outline appears mechanically undersized versus the official L × W × H dimensions.
