Part Datasheet Review

Assigned Terminal Order and Pin Orientation across all 115 terminals: power is Top / 1, ground is Bottom / 10, RF/control/GPIO are on the left, and SIM/UART/RFFE/NC are on the right. The component review checks came back with no open errors, warnings, or uncertain findings.
Open items:
  • The rendered schematic image was not visually useful due to zoom/positioning, but structured property verification and component review checks passed.
Suggested next steps:
  1. If desired, I can clean up the visible schematic symbol placement/spacing next.
  2. Publish/version the corrected part for library reuse.
Add Pin Group and Section metadata for all terminals using broad functional groups.
I’ll assign broad Pin Group and matching Section values across all 115 terminals, keeping each pin in exactly one functional group per your convention, then verify a representative sample.
Added broad Pin Group and matching Section metadata across all 115 terminals. Groups used: Power, Ground, RF, SIM, UART, RFFE, Control, GPIO, and No Connect.
Open items:
  • Flux showed autocomplete warnings for some broad labels, but the values were applied successfully and match your convention that Section = Pin Group.
Suggested next steps:
  1. Run the component review checks again.
  2. Publish/version the corrected part for reuse.

LBAD0XX1SC-005 Part Datasheet Review
Date: 2026-07-20
Scope
Reviewed available part information for the published part project LBAD0XX1SC-005: project metadata/properties, schematic terminal list, imported footprint asset, and datasheet-derived pinout/specifications.
Datasheet source
  • Existing Datasheet URL originally pointed to a Digi-Key product page, not a datasheet PDF.
  • Updated Datasheet URL to the direct Murata datasheet PDF hosted via Digi-Key: https://mm.digikey.com/Volume0/opasdata/d220001/medias/docus/7810/LBADXX01SC-005_Data_Sheet_v1.1.pdf
  • The PDF identifies itself as: Type 1SC-005 Data Sheet, LBAD0XX1SC-005, LTE CAT M1 & NB2 Module, v1.1, dated 2025-05-08.
  • Murata’s own technical-documents page lists the Type 1SC-NTN (1SC-005) datasheet, but exposes the download through JavaScript rather than a stable direct PDF href.

Schematic symbol / terminal check
The schematic is represented as 115 Terminal components rather than one monolithic IC symbol. Each terminal has a Pin Number property and a terminal designator matching the module pin name, with suffixes for repeated NC/GND/VBAT pins.
Pin number/name comparison
All 115 terminal pin numbers were present, and the pin-name mapping matches the datasheet pin table at a functional level.
Notable normalized name differences:
  • Pin 24: schematic RF_GNSS_COMMON__ANT vs datasheet RF_GNSS_COMMON_ANT / line-wrapped RF_GNSS_COMMON _ANT. This appears to be a formatting/escaping difference, not an electrical mismatch.
  • Pin 66: schematic PMU_POWER_BUTT_ON; datasheet OCR renders PMU_POWER_BUTT ON line-wrapped. This likely corresponds to the intended PMU power-button-on signal; name should be checked visually against the PDF if exact spelling matters.
  • Repeated pins are represented with suffixes (VBAT_1..3, VBAT_FEM_1..3, GND_1..22, NC_1..46), while the datasheet repeats the same base name. This is acceptable for unique terminal designators.
Pin typing and descriptions
Mismatch found:
  • Every terminal inspected has Pin Type: Unspecified.
  • No terminal-level Pin Description properties are populated.
Datasheet provides type/direction/description for the pins, e.g. power inputs/outputs, digital input/output, analog input/output, RF, NC, and GND. This means ERC and downstream symbol quality are weaker than they should be even though pin numbers/names are mostly correct.
Recommended terminal property improvements:
  • Set NC terminals to Pin Type: Not Connected or equivalent.
  • Set GND terminals to Ground.
  • Set VBAT/VBAT_FEM/PMU_VBACKUP inputs to Power In.
  • Set VDD_RF/VSIM/VDD_AUX/VDDIO/PMU_VRTC/PMU_VCAP power outputs as Power Out or documented output/reference types.
  • Set UART/SIM/RFFE/GPIO pins to digital input/output/bi-directional based on datasheet direction.
  • Add datasheet Pin Description text for all non-NC pins.
Footprint check
Current footprint asset: LBAD0XX1SC005.kicad_mod.
Observed imported footprint:
  • Fabric/silkscreen body outline: 11.10 mm x 11.40 mm, matching datasheet nominal module dimensions.
  • Description notes 11.10 mm x 11.40 mm x 1.50 mm, matching the datasheet max height.
  • Pads 1-106: rectangular SMD lands, 0.300 mm x 0.600 mm.
  • Pads 107-115: larger rectangular SMD GND lands, 0.800 mm x 0.800 mm.
  • 115 pads are present, and pads 107-115 correspond to datasheet GND group.
No pad-count mismatch was found. The visible pad pattern appears consistent with the datasheet’s dimension table values for 0.30/0.60 mm and 0.80 mm land features. Exact visual figure-to-footprint overlay was not performed because the datasheet figure dimensions are embedded graphically and not fully extractable as text by the datasheet tool.
Mismatches / issues to flag
  1. Datasheet URL was not a direct datasheet before review — fixed by updating to the direct Type 1SC-005 PDF URL.
  2. Pin Type properties are all Unspecified — mismatch with datasheet type/direction data.
  3. Pin Description properties are missing — datasheet has useful descriptions for nearly every non-GND/non-NC pin.
  4. Part subtype/function metadata appears wrong — library search reports Integrated Circuits with subtype/function resembling Logic/AND, which is not appropriate for a cellular LTE Cat M1/NB-IoT RF module.
  5. Description frequency range differs from datasheet — current description uses 699-915 MHz and 1.71-2.025 GHz; datasheet states 699-960 MHz and 1710-2170 MHz overall ranges.
  6. Package metadata is broadModule is true but less precise than LGA module / 115-LFLGA module.
  7. Potential naming cleanup — pin 24 has a double underscore due to line-wrap/escaping; pin 66 spelling should be visually confirmed against the datasheet if exact nomenclature matters.
Overall result
The part’s pad count, primary MPN/manufacturer, datasheet source, and terminal pin-number/name mapping are broadly correct. The main quality gaps are metadata precision and terminal-level electrical typing/descriptions, not the core pin numbering or pad count.
Remediation update - 2026-07-20
The flagged metadata and terminal-property issues were addressed after the review:
  • Added datasheet-backed Pin Type and Pin Description values to all 115 terminal components.
  • Set NC terminals to Not Connected, GND terminals to Ground, power inputs to Power In, power/reference outputs to Power Out, UART/SIM/RFFE/GPIO pins to input/output/bi-directional as applicable, and RF_RXTX to Bi-Directional.
  • Updated metadata to classify the part as an RF/cellular transceiver module: Part Type = RF Transceiver, Integrated Circuit Type = RF Device, Connectivity = Cellular.
  • Updated package metadata to Package or Case Code = LGA; retained the 115-land LGA/LFLGA detail in Implementation Details and the public description.
  • Updated the project description frequency ranges to the datasheet values: low-band 699-960 MHz and mid-band 1710-2170 MHz.
Remaining note: Flux reports Part Type, Integrated Circuit Type, and Package or Case Code as non-standard project-level properties even though they are meaningful part metadata for this published part project. Standardized values were used where available (RF Device, LGA).
