The schematic-to-footprint pin mapping is electrically consistent with the datasheet: 1 = IN/OUT, 2 = GND, 3 = OUT/IN, 4 = GND. Coordinate sign differences between KiCad and Flux-rendered layout are expected display-coordinate differences; the KiCad asset pin orientation itself matches the datasheet pin map.
Mismatches / issues flagged
  1. Datasheet URL was missing and has been added. The official ECS PDF URL is now set on the part.
  2. Footprint vertical pad center spacing appears off by 0.1 mm. Datasheet OCR reports 1.9 mm suggested vertical center spacing, while the footprint uses 1.8 mm center spacing. Pad size, horizontal spacing, body outline, and pin mapping match. Because this value came from OCR of the land-pattern drawing, it should be verified visually against the PDF drawing before changing the footprint.
  3. Ground terminal pin type is set to Power In, not Ground. Electrically this may pass, but the datasheet identifies pads 2 and 4 as GND / grounded lid. A Ground pin type would be semantically cleaner if Flux part-review checks expect it.
  4. Pin descriptions are not populated. Terminal names and pin numbers are correct, but no explicit Pin Description properties were observed. Recommended descriptions: pad 1 Crystal electrode, interchangeable with pad 3; pad 2 Ground / metal lid; pad 3 Crystal electrode, interchangeable with pad 1; pad 4 Ground / metal lid.
  5. Part Type is Oscillator in the library result, while the datasheet describes a passive SMD crystal. Depending on Flux taxonomy this may be acceptable under Crystals and Oscillators, but a more precise type would be Crystal if available.
  6. Description is generic. Current description is just the MPN. Suggested description: 48 MHz SMD crystal, 7 pF load, ±10 ppm tolerance, ±20 ppm stability, 30 Ω ESR, 3.2 × 2.5 mm 4-pad ECS-33B2.
  7. Manufacturer facet shows Other in library search despite Manufacturer Name = ECS Inc. property. This may be a library indexing/facet issue rather than a part-property issue.
  1. Visually verify the ECS PDF land-pattern figure for the vertical pad center spacing before editing the footprint.
  2. If confirmed, adjust pad Y positions from ±0.90 mm to ±0.95 mm while keeping pad size 1.3 × 1.1 mm.
  3. Update ground terminal pin types to Ground and add explicit pin descriptions.
  4. Improve description and, if supported by the taxonomy, change Part Type from Oscillator to Crystal.
