Part Review and Datasheet Verification

I’ll update the datasheet-backed pin metadata first, then rebuild the footprint as a proper 40-pin 600 mil PDIP and verify the result.
Symbol pin metadata is updated; I’m now correcting the footprint scale/geometry to match the 40-pin 600 mil PDIP.
Updated the dsPIC30F4013 part: added datasheet-backed pin descriptions, corrected pin types, added missing alternate-function labels, normalized AVSS, and rebuilt the footprint as a 40-pin 600 mil PDIP with 2.54 mm pitch, 15.24 mm row spacing, 1.6 mm through-hole pads, 0.8 mm drills, and a pin-1 marker.
Open items:
  • Flux did not apply the case-only rename from Vss to VSS on the duplicate ground pins, but their pin type, descriptions, numbers, and footprint pads are corrected.
Suggested next steps:
  1. Re-run the part review to confirm no remaining symbol/footprint mismatches.
  2. Publish the corrected component version.
  3. Optionally switch the Datasheet URL to the official Microchip PDF.

Pin type / pin description check
The project currently has no Pin Description properties on the 40 terminals. This is a mismatch against the user's requested part-information completeness and against the datasheet, which provides function-level descriptions for MCLR, VDD/VSS, AVDD/AVSS, OSC pins, analog inputs, programming pins, UART/SPI/I2C/CAN/DCI functions, timer/capture/compare functions, and GPIO ports.
Several Pin Type properties also appear incorrect or too coarse:
  • VDD pins should be power pins, not generic bidirectional or ground.
  • VSS and AVSS pins should be ground/power-reference pins, not generic bidirectional.
  • AVDD should be a power pin, not generic bidirectional.
  • Oscillator pins should not be Power In; OSC1 is input, OSC2 is input/output or output depending on oscillator mode.
  • INT0/RA11 is a GPIO/external interrupt pin, not a ground pin.
  • EMUD1/SOSCI/T2CK/U1ATX/CN1/RC13 is a multiplexed signal/GPIO pin, not a ground pin.
  • IC1/INT1/RD8 and IC2/INT2/RD9 are multiplexed signal/GPIO/input-capture/external-interrupt pins, not power-input pins.
  • PGC/EMUC/AN6/OCFA/RB6 is at least programming clock / analog / fault / GPIO; Input is defensible for PGC/OCFA emphasis, but bidirectional or signal would better reflect the multiplexed GPIO role.
Footprint check
Datasheet package: 40-lead Plastic Dual In-Line (P), 600 mil body PDIP, 0.100 in pitch, 40 pins.
Project layout: 40 pads exist, but pad geometry is not a valid through-hole PDIP footprint. Sample inspected pads have computed size about 0.0015 mm and positions spaced in very small increments such as 0.00254 mm or 0.01524 mm, rather than a 2.54 mm pitch with two rows separated by roughly 15.24 mm / 600 mil body scale. Pads are on the top layer with forced annular layers, but the reported pad size/placement indicates the footprint is effectively microscopic or unit-scaled incorrectly.
Footprint mismatch: the current footprint should be regenerated or corrected for a 40-pin 600 mil PDIP with 2.54 mm pitch, 20 pins per side, through-hole pads, and row spacing consistent with the datasheet package drawing and manufacturable drill/annular dimensions.
  1. Update symbol labels for pins 6, 7, 19, 22, 29, 30, and 35-38 to include all datasheet alternate functions.
  2. Normalize supply labels to uppercase VSS and AVSS for datasheet consistency.
  3. Restore or add concise per-pin descriptions from the datasheet pin description table.
  4. Correct Pin Type properties for power, ground, oscillator, reset, and multiplexed GPIO/peripheral pins.
  5. Regenerate/fix the PCB footprint as a real 40-pin 600 mil PDIP footprint with 2.54 mm pitch and through-hole pads.
  6. Optionally replace the current uploaded Datasheet URL with the official Microchip URL: https://ww1.microchip.com/downloads/en/devicedoc/70138c.pdf
