Part Audit Review

Review all available part information (MPN, package, pin count, description, properties). If no datasheet URL is already set, search the web for the official datasheet and update the part's Datasheet property with the URL. Then cross-check the schematic symbol, footprint, and pin descriptions against the datasheet. Summarize key specs and flag any mismatches.
I’ll audit the part metadata and geometry against the manufacturer’s official documentation, add the Datasheet URL if missing, then report key specifications and any symbol/footprint/pin mismatches.
I’m starting with the current part properties, terminal definitions, and PCB land pattern, then I’ll compare them to the official manufacturer drawing.

Part Information Audit Scope
Audit of DEGSON DG301-5.0-03P-12-00AH: project metadata, schematic terminals, footprint, and available official manufacturer documentation.
Authoritative sources
The currently stored Datasheet URL is an EVE Electronics product-page URL, not the official DEGSON PDF, and the original URL appears stale/404. Because a Datasheet URL was already populated, it was not automatically overwritten under the requested rule.
Current part information Key manufacturer specifications Schematic symbol cross-check
Audit complete. The 3-pin symbol and footprint numbering, 5.0 mm pitch, and 1.2 mm drills match DEGSON documentation; key issues are the stale distributor Datasheet URL, missing package/pin-description metadata, and an unverified 1.8 mm copper pad diameter. No Datasheet property was changed because it was already populated.

Schematic symbol cross-check
The symbol exposes terminals 1, 2, and 3, matching the three physical positions. These are electrically interchangeable passive terminals, so no functional pin-name mapping conflict exists.
Findings
  • Match: Three symbol terminals correspond to three footprint pads numbered 1-3.
  • Incomplete metadata: All three terminal Pin Type fields are Unspecified and no Pin Description is present. Recommended descriptions are Terminal position 1, Terminal position 2, and Terminal position 3; a passive/bidirectional connector-terminal pin type would be clearer than unspecified.
  • Symbol organization: The current vertical three-terminal symbol is usable, but the individual terminal objects carry designator prefix P while the parent part uses J. This is internal symbol construction metadata rather than a physical pinout error.
Footprint cross-check
Current land pattern:
  • Pads at X = 0, 5.0, and 10.0 mm: matches 5.0 mm pitch and 10.0 mm end-to-end pin span.
  • Three plated through holes: matches THT mounting and pin count.
  • Drill diameter 1.2 mm: matches the available DG301-5.0 series PCB-hole dimension.
  • Copper pad diameter 1.8 mm: gives a 0.30 mm radial annular ring. The accessible official product sheet does not expose a definitive recommended copper-land diameter, so this pad diameter cannot be fully certified from the official PDF alone.
  • Body/fabrication outline: 15.6 mm x 7.6 mm, consistent with the expected 3-position family envelope and the documented 7.6 mm body depth.
  • Pin 1 is rectangular and pads 2-3 are circular: good polarity/orientation convention, though the connector itself is not polarized electrically.
Mismatches and risks
  1. Datasheet property quality: Stored URL is a distributor product page and appears stale/404, not the official DEGSON PDF. This is the clearest metadata mismatch.
  2. Package metadata missing: No explicit package/case value was found even though a THT footprint is present.
  3. Pin descriptions missing: The three schematic terminals have no descriptions and use Pin Type: Unspecified.
  4. Description terminology: Barrier Strip Terminal Block is usable but less precise than DEGSON's screw-type PCB terminal block with wire protection.
  5. Unverified copper land diameter: Pitch and 1.2 mm holes are supported, but the accessible official sheet did not provide a readable recommended copper pad diameter. The existing 1.8 mm pads are plausible but not fully source-verified.
  6. Potential external-data inconsistency: Some distributor/indexed metadata describes the terminal type as spring clip; the official DEGSON documentation identifies this series as screw connection with wire protection. Use the official description.
Overall assessment
The symbol-to-footprint pin count and numbering are correct, and the footprint's 5.0 mm pitch and 1.2 mm drill geometry align with available manufacturer information. The part is usable, but its documentation metadata should ideally be cleaned up by replacing the stale distributor Datasheet URL with the official DEGSON PDF, adding a package value, and adding descriptive passive terminal metadata.
