The pin numbering and symbol labels exactly follow Table 1. However, all eight terminal Pin Type values are Unspecified, and no Pin Description properties are populated. This loses important electrical intent, especially for pins 1, 5, and 8, which are current-domain nodes rather than ordinary voltage input/supply/output pins.

Footprint flags
  • The main mechanical geometry and pad spacing match the datasheet.
  • The manufacturer datasheet gives package/lead dimensions but does not provide a recommended PCB land pattern. The 1.10 mm finished-hole choice is therefore a library design choice rather than a directly specified value. It appears reasonable for the stated lead envelope, but fabrication tolerance and soldering process should be considered.
  • The imported combined Silk Shapes node is disabled in the current Flux footprint. The underlying KiCad asset contains body-edge silkscreen and a pin-1 marker, but the effective Flux geometry may not display those lines. Pad 1 remains rectangular, so orientation is still identifiable.
  • The 3D model asset exists, but dimensional alignment was not established from structured model geometry during this audit.

Confirmed data-quality issues
  1. Missing pin descriptions: all terminals lack functional descriptions. Add datasheet-derived descriptions, particularly warning that V- is a bias-current node, Input/Output are current-domain virtual-ground nodes, and Sym should normally remain open.
  2. Unspecified pin types: all terminals are marked Unspecified. Assigning suitable electrical types would improve ERC behavior, though the unusual current-mode pins may require conservative/passive classifications.
  3. Silkscreen visibility: effective Silk Shapes are disabled. Review the footprint visually and restore a clean body outline plus pin-1 marker if absent.
Minor metadata improvement
  • The description is broadly correct but could be normalized to: “Blackmer pre-trimmed voltage-controlled amplifier, 2180A grade, 8-pin SIP.”
