Part Datasheet Review

I found the official Littelfuse MINI® FL1 datasheet and am checking whether the part already has a datasheet link before updating it.
The part already has a Datasheet URL, so I did not overwrite it. I’m now checking the symbol and footprint against the current Littelfuse datasheet and official product resources.

Part Datasheet Review - Littelfuse 178.6764.0001

View Document

Date: 2026-07-22 Reviewed available Flux part information for Littelfuse 178.6764.0001, including MPN, package/case information, pin count, ...
Completed the part review and saved the detailed findings in Part Datasheet Review - Littelfuse 178.6764.0001. The Datasheet URL was already present, so I did not overwrite it.
Open items:
  • Footprint is high-risk/unverified: pad spacing, drill size, and hole count may not match Littelfuse’s recommended hole pattern.
  • Pin metadata is incomplete: both terminals are Unspecified with no pin descriptions.
  • Current Littelfuse rating appears to be 58 VDC / 22 A continuous / 30 A max, while the linked older datasheet shows 125 V / 30 A.
Suggested next steps:
  1. Obtain the official Littelfuse 2D print / installation drawing and rebuild or verify the footprint.
  2. Update terminal pin types/descriptions to passive fuse-holder contacts.
  3. Consider updating the Datasheet URL to the current 2025 Littelfuse datasheet if you want the newest ratings as the primary reference.

Rating / Datasheet Revision Note
There is a revision difference between datasheets:
  • Current Littelfuse datasheet / product page: 58 V DC, 22 A continuous, 30 A max.
  • Older Littelfuse / distributor copies: 125 V / 125 VDC, 30 A max, max contact temperature 130 °C.
Recommendation: treat the current Littelfuse 2025 datasheet values as the primary electrical ratings for new designs unless Littelfuse confirms that the older 125 V rating is still applicable for the exact use case.

2Pin Number 2; Pin Type Unspecified; no Pin DescriptionPassive fuse-holder contact / terminalMismatch: pin type and description incomplete
The two-terminal schematic representation is logically appropriate for a single fuse holder. However, the terminal metadata should be cleaned up: both pins should be passive/contact terminals with clear pin descriptions such as Fuse holder contact terminal 1 and Fuse holder contact terminal 2.

Footprint Cross-Check Result
High-risk mismatch / not verified.
Issues:
  1. 8.0 mm pad spacing vs 7.62 mm terminal pitch
The current footprint places electrical pad centers 8.0 mm apart. The current Littelfuse datasheet states the fuse-holder terminals fit a 7.62 mm pitch. Older drawing snippets show an 8 mm ±0.15 dimension, so this may be a drawing-context issue, but the discrepancy must be resolved against Littelfuse’s official 2D print / installation drawing before production.
  2. Drill size likely questionable
The current footprint uses 1.6 mm drills for the two electrical pads. The older manufacturer drawing appears to show approximately Ø0.8 mm holes. If Ø0.8 mm is correct, the current Ø1.6 mm drills are significantly oversized.
  3. Possible missing physical holes / pads
The older PCB hole pattern appears to show multiple holes and several offsets, not simply two large electrical holes plus one center NPTH. If the actual part has multiple solder stakes or contact legs per electrical terminal, the footprint should implement multiple physical plated holes tied to pin 1 and/or pin 2 rather than one oversized hole per terminal.
  4. Center NPTH not confirmed
The 2.8 mm center NPTH in the current footprint was not confirmed from the accessible current datasheet. It may be valid if the part has a plastic locating post, but it should be checked against the Littelfuse 2D print.
  5. Current datasheet lacks full footprint detail
The current 2025 datasheet points to Littelfuse product resources for the 2D print / installation guide and does not embed full PCB hole/pad geometry. The exact footprint cannot be fully verified from the current one-page datasheet alone.

Recommendation
Do not treat this part as production-ready until the official Littelfuse 2D print / installation drawing is obtained and the footprint is verified or rebuilt. The most important checks are hole count, electrical pad grouping, hole diameters, terminal center spacing, and locating post geometry.
An internal Flux part-quality report was filed for the likely footprint and terminal-metadata issue.
