PCB Design for Sensors

Done — I generated the first PCB preview for Pi Zero Sensor HAT.
What’s included:
  • Bottom-mounted 40-pin Raspberry Pi Zero header
  • Top-side JST-PH 4-pin connector for the Waveshare MLX90640
  • Top-side placeholder headers for SCD41, PIR, IMU, and OLED
  • Board outline set to 65 mm × 30 mm, with parts placed cleanly
Open items:
  • The MLX90640 is wired, but the board is not routed yet.
  • SCD41, PIR, IMU, and OLED headers are still placeholders until you provide exact pin orders.
  • Review shows expected airwires/floating pins because those modules are not fully wired yet.
Suggested next steps:
  1. Send the pin order for SCD41, PIR, IMU, and OLED.
  2. Confirm if MLX90640 VCC should use 3.3 V or 5 V.
  3. Ask me to wire the remaining headers.
  4. After wiring, I can route the PCB.
I NEED 10*10CM BOARD
I’ll resize the PCB outline to 100 mm × 100 mm and re-place the existing Pi/sensor connectors so you can view it on the larger board.
Done — the PCB is now 100 mm × 100 mm.
I also re-placed the parts for the larger board:
  • Pi 40-pin header remains on the bottom
  • MLX90640 JST connector is on the top edge
  • Other sensor headers are spread out on the top with more space
Open item: the board still needs the remaining sensor pinouts before I can finish wiring and route it.
Wire, route, review
Use 3.3V thermal
Wire standard I2C
Add silkscreen labels
Run design review
