Schematic Cleanup Report
Project: LoRaWAN DC Motor Controller
Date: 2026-06-29
Scope
This report covers schematic cleanup only. PCB layout, placement, routing, and RF layout optimization were intentionally not started.
Confirmed Architecture
  • 6 V / 1800 mAh battery input.
  • Protected battery path for approximately 1 A continuous motor current with up to 2 A peak allowance.
  • DRV8833 motor driver for forward, reverse, stop/brake, and PWM speed control.
  • ESP32-S3FN8 controller.
  • SX1262 LoRa transceiver for AU915 operation.
  • USB-C programming/debug path through CP2102N.
  • TLV62568 3.3 V buck regulator.
Cleanup Work Completed
  • Intentional unused pins were marked as No Connect where appropriate.
  • CP2102N auto-programming wiring was cleaned up into a transistor-based EN/GPIO0 boot/reset network.
  • Required pull-ups were added or verified for ESP32 enable/boot support, TLV62568 PG, and DRV8833 nFAULT.
  • SX1262 DCC_SW to VR_PA inductor/capacitor support path was wired.
  • Generic passive manufacturing metadata was completed; final missing MPN was C3, assigned as Samsung CL10B104KB8NNNC / LCSC C1591.
  • ERC and manufacturing review categories were re-run after cleanup.
Verification Result
The latest inspection returned no matching open ERROR, WARNING, or OPEN checks for the selected schematic/manufacturing categories:
  • Floating pin ERC
  • No-connect ERC
  • Power-pin ERC
  • Single-pin net ERC
  • Undriven-net ERC
  • Dangling/unconnected wire ERC
  • Manufacturer part number check
  • Component MPN/manufacturer review
Remaining Engineering Risks Before Production
  • RF matching topology and values must still be verified against the Heltec LoRa V3 / Semtech SX1262 reference before PCB layout.
  • ESP32-S3 auto-boot/reset circuit should still be checked against Espressif reference behavior during firmware flashing.
  • DRV8833 thermal/current margin should be validated with the actual motor under load; layout should preserve upgrade flexibility for a future higher-current driver revision.
  • Final BOM should be reviewed for sourcing availability and approved alternates before manufacturing release.
Layout Readiness
The schematic is now clean enough to proceed into controlled PCB layout planning, with the explicit condition that RF reference verification is completed before routing the LoRa RF path.
