Transient Voltage Analysis

Here’s a comparison of V(net2) over 20 ms:

Table

ConditionMin VoltageMax VoltagePeak-to-PeakRipple Frequency
With C1 (RC Filter)2.456 V2.532 V0.076 V100 Hz
Without C12.370 V2.630 V0.260 V100 Hz
The RC filter reduces the ±10% flicker from ±0.13 V to ±0.038 V around the 2.5 V midpoint.

I’ve run both transient simulations. Here’s a combined plot comparing the voltage at NODE (across the LDR) over 20 ms:
LDR Voltage With vs Without C1

Image

  • Blue trace: Without C1, peak-to-peak ≈ 0.25 V around 2.5 V
  • Orange trace: With C1, peak-to-peak ≈ 0.10 V around 2.5 V
