Simbye Discount Code EDC15: Turning 15% Into Real Checkout Numbers
Simbye discount code EDC15 gives a 15% discount on eligible Simbye purchases at Shopify checkout, as long as it is entered before payment. The knowledge describes it simply as a 15% discount, so this article works through what that percentage means on the prices the store publishes and which parts of the offer the store leaves unstated.
Working out the cut on a real price
Simbye lists prepaid data plans starting from $1.99. Taking 15% of that starting figure gives a reduction of roughly $0.30, leaving a discounted price of about $1.69 before any other amounts appear on the order summary. The knowledge does not say whether taxes or fees are added at checkout, so the total shown on the order summary is the figure to rely on rather than this calculation.
Plans run from 1GB up to unlimited options, and the custom builder allows up to 10 countries, 5 to 50 GB and validity of 30 to 365 days. The percentage applies to whatever the order total is, so a larger plan produces a larger cash saving at the same 15% rate.
Where the code goes and what to check
The store's redemption steps run in this order:
  1. Open Simbye and choose a destination, a regional bundle or a custom multi-country plan.
  2. Select the data amount and validity period, then add the plan to the cart.
  3. Check the currency selector before paying. The site supports USD, EUR and GBP.
  4. Proceed to checkout, enter EDC15 in the discount field and press Apply.
  5. Confirm that the order summary shows a discount line before entering payment details.
On a computer, the discount field sits on the right-hand order summary. On a phone, it is under a 'Show order summary' toggle. The discount line is the only visible evidence that the code has been accepted, so it is worth checking before moving on.
Limits that affect the saving
Shopify checkouts do not apply a code after payment, so EDC15 must be entered before the order is paid. Shopify checkouts generally accept one discount code per order, which means EDC15 will not stack with another code.
Refunds are available only if the eSIM has not been installed or activated. Before activation, the eSIM stays valid for 180 days, and the data plan does not start counting down until the phone reaches the destination. Unlimited plans carry a fair use policy of 2GB of high-speed data per day, after which speeds are reduced until the next 24-hour cycle.
The knowledge does not list which products EDC15 excludes, so the discount line on each individual cart is the only confirmation available.
Points the store does not settle
Two questions remain open. The first is whether EDC15 combines with sale pricing, and the knowledge does not answer it. The second is whether the code applies to top-up purchases. Top-ups can be made through the account or the top-up page using the order number, with no reinstall needed, but the knowledge does not confirm that the 15% carries over to them. If a top-up is part of the budget, it should not be assumed to be discounted.
Checking the phone before spending
The discount is only useful if the handset can take an eSIM. Carrier-locked handsets can refuse eSIM profiles. The listed device support covers iPhone XS and newer, Samsung Galaxy S20 and newer, and Google Pixel 3 and newer. The standard eSIM is data-only with no phone number, and app-based calling works. Products that include calls are available for destinations such as the United Kingdom and Turkey.
