Simbye Discount Code EDC15: Three Checks Built on Stated Terms Only
Simbye discount code EDC15 gives a 15% discount on a prepaid travel eSIM plan bought from Simbye, a provider that covers 190+ countries. The code is entered at checkout, so the discount only exists if the store records it before payment. This article works through three checks, each tied to a point the published details state, and then lists what those details leave open.
Check one: the discount line
The redemption steps ask you to open Simbye, choose a destination, region or custom multi-country plan, select the data amount and validity, and add the plan to the cart. At checkout you enter EDC15 in the discount field and press Apply. Before entering payment details, confirm that the order summary shows a discount line.
On desktop, the discount field sits on the right-hand order summary at Shopify checkout. On mobile, the summary is collapsed under a 'Show order summary' toggle, so you need to open it first. The discount line is the only visible proof in the published details that the 15% has been applied, so treat it as the thing to check before anything else.
Shopify checkouts do not retroactively apply codes, so if the line is missing you cannot add the code after paying. Shopify checkouts generally accept one discount code per order, which means EDC15 will not stack with a second code.
Check two: the currency
The site supports multiple currencies, including USD, EUR and GBP, and the redemption steps say to check the currency selector before paying. Listed plans start from $1.99. The published details do not explain how the 15% is calculated in each currency, so compare the discounted total in the currency you will actually pay in, rather than the figure you saw on the product page.
Check three: install and refund window
The eSIM QR code is emailed immediately after payment is confirmed. A manual install option is also available, using an SM-DP+ address and an activation code. Refunds are available only if the eSIM has not been installed or activated, so the install step directly affects what you can get back. Before activation, the eSIM stays valid for 180 days. The data plan does not start counting down until you arrive at the destination, which means buying early does not use up your data.
Device support is listed as iPhone XS and newer, Samsung Galaxy S20 and newer, and Google Pixel 3 and newer. Carrier-locked handsets can refuse eSIM profiles, so check the handset you plan to use before you buy. Standard eSIMs are data-only with no phone number, and app-based calling works alongside them.
What the published details leave open
Two points are not settled in the published details. They do not say whether EDC15 combines with sale pricing, and they do not say whether the code applies to top-up purchases. Top-ups are made through the account or the top-up page using the order number, and no reinstall is needed. Until the site answers the two open points, do not assume the 15% covers sale-priced plans or top-ups when you set a budget.
If either point matters for your trip, check it on the site before you press Pay, and keep a copy of the order summary showing the discount line with your order number.
