ESP32-C6 ESL PCB Design


Design a compact, ultra-low-power Electronic Shelf Label (ESL) PCB using an ESP32-C6 SoC.
Include:
  • ESP32-C6 with 40 MHz crystal + load capacitors
  • External SPI Flash memory
  • SPI e-paper display connector: CLK, MOSI, CS, DC, RESET, BUSY
  • 2 × CR2450 coin-cell batteries
  • Efficient low-Iq power-management circuit for long battery life
  • ESP32-C6 EN/RESET and BOOT circuitry
  • Exposed pogo-pin programming pads: 3.3V, GND, TX, RX, EN, BOOT
  • 2.4 GHz PCB antenna with proper RF keep-out
  • Decoupling and bulk capacitors near all ICs
  • Compact 4-layer PCB with solid GND plane
  • Optimize all circuitry for minimum sleep current and battery leakage
  • Follow the ESP32-C6 reference design and recommended RF/PCB layout guidelines.
